It’s all Frink’s fault! He’s holding me back!

Anyone ever notice that in the SE trailer, the Death Star II explosion doesn’t have a praxis effect?
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

I’m glad it didn’t make it to 35k. Nothing would have happened if it made it that high, still tho. GL don’t have it anymore. The series seems to be in more capable hands now.
Disney will put those signatures right next to Lucas’ Episode VII treatment.

I have no more love for TFA than I do for ROTJ, and I have absolutely no interest in the upcoming Han Solo flick, but I still want to catch Rogue One and I am curious to know what TFA brings to the table.

There are definitely people here who feel that way about TFA, and to a (much?) lesser degree RO.

I’ve been thinking about this…
Now that R1 is over, I dunno that I’ll be back in a theater watching a Star Wars movie again. I have zero interest in any of the other announced spin-offs or in a sequel to TFA.
But that’s ok. I’ve still got my trilogy and, thanks to R1, I’ve got a neat little prequel story. Thanks to Harmy & Co. I can watch the ones I love in HD. Thanks to Adywan & Co. I can watch cool updated versions of the ones I love. I’m good with that.
It’s a great time to be a Star Wars fan.
I think good majority of us feel apathetic towards the Han Solo flick. Donal Glover playing young Lando ain’t enough to make me surround myself with strangers in order to get a fix.

Planned to see Episogue One when Netflix got the Blu-ray, but after learning that they cyber-ghoulishly resurrected Peter Cushing, I lost even that mild interest.
Still plan to see Ep. VIII when it is Netflixable, until I learn that poor Carrie gets the same treatment in it…
Han Solo movie? Lol no. Can’t stand contemporary pretty-boy actors. (Even reformed stormtrooper guy in TFA was a little hard to take.)

I’ve noticed two perspectives online, the main one being that there has never been a greater time to be alive because of these Star Wars sequels, and the other (smaller one) being that they are a heretical attack on the “”""“SAGA”"""". I have no opinion about any of it. I guess I was disappointed at first when I saw TFA, but I lost any real feelings towards it not long after.

Both are silly overreactions.
I loved TFA and liked RO quite a bit, but it was better to be alive during the OT (or at least the first two entries). Of course, I was a kid, and being a kid is always better…

Have you seen Rogue One though?

Verdammt!
I did see Rogue One, and I enjoyed it. I’m not really interested in the spin-offs as a whole, but it’s the episodes that I really am not interested in.

After TFA set such shitty foundations, I do not feel like seeing the rest of the trilogy.
As for spinoffs, it depends on the topic. R1 seemed interesting and I was very pleased with it in the end. Han Solo film with a new actor seems like a bad idea and I am not interested.

I want to take in as much good Star Wars material that I definitely want certain gaps to be filled. Headcanon is cool but I feel as though Disney can exceed my headcanon in certain areas and open up avenues of thought that had previously eluded me. So long as we’re not getting Greedo spin offs and shit I hope they keep pumping them out.
I think some people will change their tune when the Han Solo trailer comes out. 😉
Where were you in '77?
Everybody’s going to be surprised when the Han Solo movie is great and I’m going to be here thinking I’ve been saying that all along.
Great or not, I’m just not interested in it. I feel about as apathetic about Star Wars as I did about the Carrie remake. Which is really sad but I guess it just proves to me that I was never a Star Wars fan, just a fan of three specific movies.

Well I am not saying the film itself will be good or bad. I am just saying (from experience) that a new actor will not work for me.

This place seriously makes me wonder how I’ve made it this far in life retaining my ability to enjoy things. The style of fandom a lot of you seem to practice sounds miserable.
