A new TV spot with new shots and Giacchino music score

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdlClcSa-y8&feature=youtu.be

Also we have had a name drop on the prision where Jyn is held in shackles called Wobani (Planet?)

Seriously feels like it should have been Kessel not to mention the prototype Death star firing mechanism used there. + Spice Mines. Nothing to do with the Kessel Run either that is something different (secret smuggling trade route) just the infamous prision with the Spice Slaves oh well.

Wobani it is…

Apart from Yavin and Deathstar it may all be new.

To be taken with a very large grain of salt, but I felt it was worth posting anyway.

Reddit leaks always make me a little suspicious but the Tarkin one sounds the most legit in accordance with what we saw in one of the trailers and the films ridiculously large CGI budget.

If ILM breaks new ground with recreating Peter Cushing, we’d better brace ourselves for a wave of new movies from a lot of dead actors. Maybe they can finish Marylin Monroe’s last movie. 😉

I’m currently watching the live facebook video that a Collider News reporter is doing (Steven Weintraub). At Skywalker Sound, many reporters were shown 28 minutes of footage for Rogue One. It sounds like it’s the first 12 minutes, and then a couple complete scenes from the first act, then a quick montage of some second-third act action. The footage has received nothing but positive feedback. Everyone says that it is very gritty, which surprises me in a good way. K-2SO is also a big hit so far. The twitter feedback and Weintraub’s live feed of gathering responses after the screening is really promising. A couple people are saying it is already better than Force Awakens in their minds because it is an isolated story with no jedi, and it supposively does it so damn well.

More than pumped now! The premiere is gonna be crazy 😃

UPDATE:

Though Michael Giacchino only had four weeks to complete the score, it is getting glowing responses too.

It really does feel like this is the true prequel to the original film and a sequel to last prequel but superior to it (but then the trailer for ROTS looked exciting too).

According to various tweets like these, George Lucas likes Rogue One. I wonder if he actually likes Rogue One, or if he only passive-aggresively said that he likes it (like he kinda did with TFA).

Well, RO being an anthology film might actually be much easier for Lucas to like as it’s not someone else’s interpretation of a saga film which he had his own ideas/plans for. So he might actually have genuinely liked RO.

Am I the only one who finds Jones’ acting a little unconvincing?

Looks like severed Anakin is also making his appearance in RO

Maybe the guy in the bacta tank actually is Darth Vader then.

It seems weird that Vader would be wounded during the events of the movie though, considering how unlikely it is that Vader needed a period of recovery between RO and ANH. However he might be introduced in the tank (implying some previous battle), or perhaps he is simply put in the tank regularly to heal.

Intriguing but you know when he is in that form and he is repaired and then after he shouts Noooooooo!

So this is before he shouts Noooooooo! and breaks out of that chair thing I hope we don’t see or even hear that 😃 don’t mind the operating table or mask scenes they are actually really good.

I can see it taking place before the mask and suit is fitted and everything like that.

So this is 19 BBY either we are getting a prologue or it’s flashbacks.

I would imagine we will be getting some form of Prologue even if Vague.

Also check those long legged camel type creatures with stormtroopers on top of them on Jedha.

Serious Salvador Dali vibes.

I think it’s far more likely that he either has a bacta soak regularly without the prosthetics or that he’s been injured recently at the start of the film. Vader’s origins really have nothing to do with Rogue One’s story, so I can’t imagine why there would be a flashback to that. I’d believe it for VIII, though. There’s no way this model is from the other movie, right?

Yeah that is what sprang to mind Dali…

Jofavs can you reveal the name of the planet the Erso fled to. Is Lah’Mu stated in Catalyst?

THat 3D VR experience also has the planet that Krennick Flies over and that is Wobani with the asteroid Rings so is Wobani = Lah’Mu or what?

Otherwise Lah’mu is rubbish and a lie.

There was a Rumor that they planned to show Vader as more Clunky like he is in Star Wars and later on in Empire strikes back he is much more athletic.

But why would you still be clunky 20 years later and then in 4 years you go from clunky to jumping about. 😃

It’s honestly anybody’s guess at the moment. Could be Vader get’s hurt in the middle of Rogue One and he’s out of action perhaps for a bit of the film and comes back extremely pissed!!!

Don’t forget the Vader Stuntman alternate actor…

The thing that makes me most question the Bacta Tank is there are no Medical droids present but perhaps they are in a room up above. It’s not at all obvious. If it is a Bacta tank and there are no Medical droids then it’s a goof up.
