Help Wanted: Star Wars prequel edits

Howdy! My name is Michael but my friends call me Olobby. I’m a huge star wars fan which is why i joined this website. I love the original trilogy and I love what Disney is doing with their movies now but I HATE the prequels. I found a couple edits on this website but they don’t seem to fix the major problems of the movies. Which is why I decided to edit the star wars prequels but my editing skills are awful which is why I’m calling for help for a huge collab. I’ve pitched ideas to edit to my friends and they all love my ideas but can’t edit themselves. I’m open to collab with as many people as possible the more the merrier if you want to help please reply. There’s no commitment you’re free to leave when ever you please.

Darth Vader just standing up after he finds out his wife is dead is werid. He has to say something or at least do something. I was thinking we can replace Darth Vader’s no with another sound .You most likely asking yourself “like what?” Well I went web surfing and the remembered In the movie lion king mufusa falls to his death letting out a bone chilling scream mufusa is played by james earl jones who also does the voice of darth vader I was thinking we replace that no with the lion king scream. I ran a couple tests on my computer an it matches almost perfectly I just need more editors so what do you think?

As someone who artistically re-purposes old things into new things almost daily, I know what you’re getting at. But the “trash” has to have some value in it to redeem. The PT doesn’t have that.
Besides, like I said the PT is crap, not trash. And nobody’s turning poop into anything people wanna see. Frink has turned the poop into a joke, so there’s that. But turning poop into a good movie? Not possible.
You can add the purest and cleanest water to mud, but all you’ll get is more mud. You can also take the sicks and rocks out, but it’s still mud.

You can always turn it into a potato, but you’d have to rotoscope Matt Damon into the Geonosis scenes though. That color grade should match Mars nicely 😉

In all honesty though, if you want collaboration, you’d need to post not only anecdotals of your changes, but also a complete draft of number bulleted edits. Once you do that a real dialogue about direction can occur.

idk, I quite enjoy my newly completed fanedits of AotC and RotS, and I think I might like my version of TPM, as soon as they’re done. Definitely not as good as the OT, but still decent. And tons of people love HAL9000’s edits and l8wrtr’s edits. I guess your opinion is your opinion, though.

Anyway, why are you here if you hate prequel fanedits so much? You’re not gonna stop them from happening, so what’s the point?

Sparky, go ahead with your edit and ignore ray’s bullshit. Films are entirely subjective and I quite enjoy Hal’s prequel edits. Ray thinks the prequels are unfixable and that’s fine. We happen to think they do have redeeming qualities and that’s also fine. If you wanna send me your edit ideas by PM, I’d love to hear em out! Good luck on your edit 😉

I wouldn’t say the prequels are mud. They’re more like, stale bread.
