VirtualDubMod MKV Problem

Author
Time

Whenever I import an MKV file into VirtualDubMod, I’m greeted with this:
Imgur

However, when I import the same MKV file into regular VirtualDub there is no problem and everything works fine. Would anyone know or care to take a guess on the cause of this?

All help is much appreciated.

Why are you using VirtualDubMod? It’s extremely outdated.

I have no idea what alternative you should use either. But VDM requires that you index the video first and then load an avisynth script into it. It’s a real pain.

What’s recommended instead?

Depends what you are wanting to do.
Avidemux maybe?
