It’s been about two months since I began watching Breaking Bad, and I finally finished the final season last night.

It’s one of the best TV series ever made, and I’ll probably never watch it again.

The final season was a work of art.

We’re about to wrap up Galavant. I’m not sure why I didn’t give this a chance when it was on. Again, the failure of this show is my fault. It reminds me of Monty Python, but short and a musical.

Watched the first season of The Ren & Stimpy Show.

I didn’t get this show as a kid, but after twelve years of stewing in my burgeoning psychosis, I now understand its appeal.

Finally started watching “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. Very good show. It feels very ‘unscripted’ at times, and I think that’s why I love it. For some reason, I enjoy improv comedy a lot more than scripted comedy. People genuinely playing off of each other in real time will almost always make me laugh more than an objectively well-crafted joke. I love Rick and Morty for this same reason.

That’s good to hear. I just finished Season 2 Episode 4, “Mac Bangs Dennis’ Mom”, and was worried that no other episodes could top it.

I’d be interested how R&M works when both of them are voiced by the same guy. I’m not making fun, I’m genuinely interested in the process behind it.

The Flash Season 2 (2015)

Eh…it had a lot of great moments but it never quite lived up to season 1’s finale. But it was still pretty good. I’m probably just bitter because of what they did with a character I really liked.

I’ve heard great things about it for years, so I finally bit the bullet and started watching Game of Thrones. The only bad thing I can say is that these first few episodes (I’m up to episode four so far), feel like setup for a big payoff, which I hope will be coming in due time. Anyway, I’m a fan.

Trust me…the slow pacing is well worth it. And that counts for most of the set up in the series.

GoT is like a roller coaster, a lot of the episodes are the clanking of the devices pulling you up hill preparing you for the long drop.

Stranger Things:

Man oh man oh man oh man OH MAN this show is amazing. This show gets everything right in my opinion from the plot which was not only emotional but also had me constantly enthralled. The mystery of what the fuck is going on evolved in ways that I didn’t anticipate and at speeds I didn’t anticipate and when all is known the revelation is not only terrifying but also creative. Other things I must praise are the characters and the acting both of which is fantastic across the board. The chemistry between the main group and the wild card is great and I found the arc Lucas went through to be particularly satisfactory and I’m looking forward to his interactions with a certain member of the party. Another thing is that I found I could relate to and sympathize for every one of the main characters and in general found a great deal of them to be interesting, layered, flawed and I can’t wait to see more of these people. Hopper and LL especially. The actors from adults to child actors all did a great job as well; this show reminded me that kids are actually capable of being good actors. All and all this is a really stellar show.

^ I agree with everything you said, except wanting to see more. I’ll check out the next season, but I really feel I got everything I wanted out of this and feel no need to find out anymore about what was/is going on.

Same here. Like most cool short series, I wish this was an anthology show in the same vein. I don’t particularly care to find out the answers to any of the mysteries in S1.

Stranger Things is the perfect title for an anthology series. Each season being a new, unconnected story with new characters, a new location and a different time setting with new opening titles to match the era.

I can see where you guys are coming from but I care about these characters too much to not to want to see where they go and what new ways the story can be expanded that was crafted in Season 1. And that’s not even factoring in the hints and outright setting up of plot lines that’s in the last couple of episodes. If they had this be the end I would feel as if they discarded the opportunity to do so much more with the characters.

I think the primary directive behind the second season will be more telling a new story with the same characters. The Duffer bros. have said themselves that it’s more a sequel than another season, if that makes sense.

That’s great news! I don’t want a retread of last season though of course certain elements must return but they have so many cool ideas floating around that it would be hard not to experiment a little bit with things and in general progress the story in a way that’s original.

I watched the entire first season of The Simpsons. I’ve only seen one of these episodes (Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire), because none of the TV channels I watch syndicate anything prior to Season 2. I liked all the episodes, and it was interesting to go back to the beginning of one of my favourite TV shows. It was funny to see prototypes of well known characters (black Smithers, white Lou, blonde Barney), and see that the tone certainly changed over the years. While these episodes were humourous, there was a lot more stuff about family values, and some gags that I think would have been played for laughs in later seasons were treated seriously in these. So yeah, it was cool to see the origin of one of the longest running shows on television. I might watch Season 2 now.

The only major flaw in the first season is the lack of a Halloween episode.

This year’s American Horror story is so bad. The Exorcist is pretty insulting to the mentally ill too.
