I’d rather watch Jupiter Ascending than Bay-Transformers or the PT, simply because I haven’t seen that movie before and at least it’d be something new.
And Rogue One is better than all of them. I cannot begin to comprehend the mindset that it’s worse than any of those.

I think Harrison Ford has a hit list of his most popular characters. First, Han Solo dies. Next, Rick Deckard, in Blade Runner: 2049 this fall, and Indiana Jones in Indy5.
Catalyst was great. Most of the PT connections were very basic things, planet/alien names, vague references to events (like an alleged Jedi “attack” on the Chancellor/Emperor), but nothing big IIRC.
Without spoiling anything (I’m waiting for the paperback), could Thrawn fit with the original Thrawn Trilogy? I assume it wouldn’t outright contradict them, despite Canon statuses, but I guess it might.

Okay. Pretty much, I expected Jack (and co.) to defeat Aku, but still no time portals, so he kills himself anyway, but at least he’d be at peace pr whatever. But now that Jack has already almost done the seppuko thing or whatever, I don’t feel like they’ll bring that back. It’s worth noting, however, that Tartakovsky said that “everyone will be bawling” at the finale.

Halfway through the new episode. Great overall, but I wasn’t really a big fan of the song they played in the scene right before the commercial break.
I’m sorry if you used to think the PT was good. That’s hard to understand too.
However I’m still a big fan of Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars. What are they waiting for to give him a SW animated series again ?

I don’t think many of us “hate” ROTJ. Personally I find it suffers in comparison to the first two in a number of ways:
_It feels like they’re going through the motions. Lucas seems to just want to get it all over with, and the actors (except Hamill) are just pay checking it
__It’s too juvenile and toy-oriented
_Han and Leia are given nothing meaningful to do
Fett dies embarrassingly
The ground battle on Endor is way too small and lacking in epic moments that the big finale should have
But it’s not a bad movie per se, it’s just bad compared with SW and Empire. Of course it’s Casablanca compared with the prequels.
I love ROTJ (and as a kid it was my favorite), but I largely agree with this critique.
I think ROTJ has the highest highs of the OT, but also the lowest lows.

Ah, Jim Lee. I often forget he used to be kinda cool before he screwed up every costume of the DC Universe in 2011 (it’s at least partially his fault Superman still can’t have his trunks despite the current team on Superman really wanting to give him the trunks).

The only scary Star Wars thing to me upon early viewings of the OT (and some of the prequels maybe depending on the year) was the part in Jabba’s Palace in ROTJ as various droids were being tortured. Specifically this shot:
