  1. A large number of people ordered it for pickup-today and so they actually have more but are all reserved.

Website said it was still available for pickup today so I ordered it, I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens at this point. Still, a large number of people interested in the lost episodes of Doctor Who in my tiny southern town full of rednecks and the like seems unlikely to me.

I went to Walmart today to get the new Power of the Daleks dvd. It was already gone. I asked an employee and she looked in the back. I waited about 30 minutes before she came out and said that there were no more. It just came out today and they sold out here. So either:

  1. they only had 1 or 2 copies in the first place (which would be especially sad since they had 100 copies of Boo! A Madea Halloween right next to where Power of the Daleks was before it sold out)
  2. I underestimated the number of Whovians in my small town.

I don’t know why everyone is making jokes over something that will destroy every aspect of our lives.

Because nothing matters anymore. At least we want to be destroyed happy.

Happiness was destroyed forever when Donald Trump became president.

I am beyond depressed and everyone refuses to listen to me.

People actually did interact with you seriously when you were acting like a normal person. Now that you’re back to being crazy, rude, insane, and making light of the holocaust, people are right back to responding to you like you’re a madman.

Let’s get one thing straight. When I make a comment referencing the holocaust, I am never making light of it.

I believe we are repeating the horrors of nazi Germany under Donald Trump; I would post this in the politics thread, but you were ups ban me for making hyperbolic comments that in my opinion are close to the truth. You have defined me as an insane, rude, and insensitive person when in reality we are entering the end times. Even if we survive Trump, it’ll be too late to save human civilization because we will have hit the tipping point for climate change. Even if every person believed 100 percent that global warming is real by 2025, there is absolutely nothing we can do to stop human extinction, along with nearly all plant and animal life.

This is the worst era in history, EVER, and I am dead serious right now.

Let’s just say you were 100% right. What would you like us to do about it? You’ve said none of us are helping you. What does helping you entail? Do you just need to vent?

It just wasn’t supposed to end up like this.

Yes it was, time is fixed, the future is inevitable, I have nothing to look forward to in life other than the next few Star Wars movies, my best days are behind me…

Wait, suddenly I’m being serious. Help!

I haven’t smoked a cigarette since December of 2015 and alas I think my streak is at an end. I’ve been craving a cigarette for 2 solid months and after today I’m probably gonna give in.

There is a slight risk of popcorn lung…

Excuse me? What the fuck is popcorn lung?

Ever take a big sniff of a bag of microwave popcorn after it’s cooked? Well, depending on the flavoring ingredients, that could poison you, giving you “popcorn lung.” So you could be affected in a similar way after vaping.

Let's face it. The continuity in star wars does not exist.

Motti was never hinted at being the creator of the Death Star.
He was just a Death Ray Fanboy.

Then what does Vader mean then when he says ‘‘Don’t be to proud of this technological terror that you have constructed’’ to Motti?

I thought he referred to the group as a whole. Besides, it’s not like Vader ever met Erso.

Also, most of the books are books I haven’t read since middle school and don’t much care about anymore. I don’t really wanna get rid of them, but fairly soon I’ll start to need more space.

I once held this sentiment in regard to all the Goosebumps and Fear Street books I once owned. I forced myself to overcome it, and you will too!

I can’t decide how best to rearrange books on my shelves. I cannot find a good balance between organization and aesthetic. Also, most of the books are books I haven’t read since middle school and don’t much care about anymore. I don’t really wanna get rid of them, but fairly soon I’ll start to need more space.

You mentioned that it felt like three different movies crammed into one. Is this common in bigger-budget Christian movies that get a wide release? I’ve only ever seen one, but it felt like they combined three different scripts and had too many characters.

I don’t watch many, but it seems like it would be a common thing to cram as many plots in as possible to pad out the runtime (War Room could/should have been about 1 hour, but was instead twice that).

Finished X-Wing: Rogue Squadron and now I’m back to PKD, this time I’ll be reading A Scanner Darkly.

Finished A Scanner Darkly. It was pretty good, but I prefer the previous two PKD books I’ve read more than this one. However, there was one brief moment in which I could suddenly relate to the protagonist of this book more than that of any character of any other book I’ve read lately, although he probably didn’t mean what he said in that moment. I won’t type it all out here because, given the quote, I already did talk about it a few days ago in another thread (before I even got to that part of the book). But that’s enough vague rambling for now.

Next I think I’ll read 1984, which I’ve been meaning to read for a year or so and haven’t ever gotten around to it.

Luke had a social life though; Biggs, Tank and his other friends outta know about the Jedi.

Yep.

TATOOINE: THE EARLY YEARS

BIGGS: “Hey Luke, did you ever hear about the space wizards they called the Jedi?”

LUKE: “Gee, no Biggs, I haven’t.”

BIGGS: “They could movie things around with their minds, using something called the Force.”

LUKE: “C’mon, Biggs, that sounds silly.”

BIGGS: “You’re probably right, but it’s a cool story.”

Doesn’t anyone realize the planet is warming at a geometric rate? I’m still panicking about this, and no one is helping me.

What makes you so special? The world will end someday. Why shouldn’t you be alive when that happens? What have you done that makes you so much better than everybody else?
