This is why nothing gets done in this country. It’s a zero-sum game. No compromise, no meeting in the middle, no concession, no “hrm, maybe I’m wrong about this one”. Just “I’m right and you’re not only wrong but also stupid and irredeemable.”

It’s a race to the bottom and we all lose.

I love how it’s “not compromising” when I don’t abandon my principles, but it’s just being committed when Dems refuse to give two inches on any of theirs. Why are only Conservatives expected to concede and liberals are not?

You mean like how Conservatives refused to confirm Obama’s Supreme Court pick and even worse they threatened to refuse to confirm anyone Hillary would have nominated and would have just kept that spot open as long as they controlled the legislative branch?

You mean like how Conservatives shut down government because they were mad about the budget?

Because the Dems would not at all compromise on the budget.

You mean like how Conservatives redraw districts to get more power?

Liberals do the same.

You mean like how Conservatives try to restrict voter rights under the false guise of needing voter ID?

Who’s voting rights are restricted by needing a photo ID? You must really hate Mexico.

Conservatives are expected to concede because they never do it. Liberals’ problem is they concede to everything.

Haha! Yeah right.

btw, if this election had been Hillary vs. W. Bush and I was somehow forbidden to vote for anyone other than one of those two, I’d have to give Bush serious consideration. That you should tell you something.

This is simply where you and I differ, pretty much most every single person in the current Democrat party, as well as historically in most instances since they are the party of the KKK and slavery, are simply not worth casting my vote for. It has nothing to do with party as much as it has to do with my own philosophy, beliefs, and convictions.

DEAR LIBERAL FRIENDS: We need to talk about President Trump…

The the lady in that video: go bleep yourself.

I have to wonder whether she thought W. Bush was a war monger. I doubt it. and where it is the concern about blowback when comes to the Iraq invasion and waterboarding(which Trump and W. Bush support).

You often accuse me of having blind hate for Obama, you have a blind hate for Bush.

  1. You have a blind love for you Bush and any Republican President.

  2. I don’t hate Bush anywhere near as much as you seem to hate Obama.

  1. No, I don’t. I hated a lot of Bush’s policies, his domestic policies especially, but I do believe he was far better on foreign affairs than Obama.

Let me try to set you straight on this, I am not an in the bag dyed in the wool Republican,

oh yeah, when was the last Presidential race where you didn’t vote for the Republican?

Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them.

first you say you say the Republican party is the party that most closely conforms to your general philosophy, but then you say you hate the party.

If you a conservative instead of a Republican, vote libertarian or some conservative third party instead of always Republican.

Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them.

after all the anti-Obama posts I’ve seen of yours blaming him for every single thing and acting like he was the anti-Christ, I feel I could testify in court that you hate the man. I however admit to loathing Bush and thinking he was a failure. However, I would not call Obama a success nor am I his yes man(I may have been once, not I since I decided not to vote for him in 2012.

I don’t blame him for every single thing and I do not believe he is the Anti-Christ. I am staunchly opposed to him and can’t deny that. You and Frink are rigidly, and passionately, anti-Trumpers, that’s cool I have no issue with that. But I just am just as rigidly and as passionately anti-Obama. Why is one so noble and without fault in your mind while the other is somehow incoherent and intolerant? I see them as being the same, but coming from very different beliefs and perspectives.

Again, I point to all of your posts during the George Bush presidency, I could have said the same about you. Just try to understand that I detest the guy as much as you detest Bush for similar, yet different reasons.

Let me try to set you straight on this, I am not an in the bag dyed in the wool Republican, I am a dyed in wool hardcore Conservative. Therefor, the party that most closely conforms to my general philosophy is the Republican party and the party that patently rejects everything I stand for, and more often than not attacks what I believe, is the Democratic party. Not one person in the current Democrat party that I can think of could come close to even courting my beliefs enough to gain my vote, it’s not me it’s them. That said, I hate the Republican party because it is as corrupt and morally bankrupt as any other party in Washington.

  2. I don’t “hate” Obama as much as I loath him both as a person and as a President. I absolutely do HATE his ideology and his beliefs and I hate almost everything he has done while in office. I simply detest him as I believe he has been an abject failure as I’m sure you feel the same way about Bush.

Not only are they blank, but if this were my set I would fire the propmaster for lack of realism. They are that fake.

Oh.

Aren’t lay laying face down?

Nah, I did a lot of working with print stuff in university and I can almost guarantee that’s all brand new unprinted paper that’s not been handled or run through a printer. You’d definitely see text through the back of the top sheet. Plus, no staples? Maybe three paper clips? The folders are all just unmarked and unbound? No way would professional documents of any importance be handled like that.

Okie doke!

The best thing TNG ever did for the franchise was make red the command division colour. So much better than pissy gold or milquetoast white.

I agree, the red does look way better as command. However, the command red shirts did kind of hurt the “red shirt dies” joke industry.

I thoroughly enjoyed DS9. There were disappointing moments that they could have capitalized on but as a whole, it was a good ride. Character development was done well, especially Garak, who was always one of my favorites. Andrew Robinson is a true craftsman.

I agree, Garak was my absolute favorite in a really good overall series. I loved how you had to, and hated to, always question his allegiance and motives. Which, to me paid off in the end because he was a good guy all along.
