I like the old Doctor Tom, but I think he was really not very bright. That said, I suspect the new series must be a lot of fun, but I've never seen a single one. I think I'm afraid they will be too overthought compared to the old simple ones. I think they should have come out with a Doctor When.

So she said, but Gene's actions after the fact and her book suggest otherwise. There is no reason for her to have tried to protect a Desilu studio executive, but a big incentive to protect Gene.
Gene had his way with her and everyone still thinks he's swell. He had a girlfriend at the time too so it's not like he wasn't being taken care of. She was pretty strong to have overcome all that to make a return on the same show where that happened.
