My friend and I watched a movie sometime around 1992/3 and I remember the cover had a boy on his bike (which we decided was a good enough reason to rent it). The plot was about the kid being transported to a dream-like world that was made up of (it seemed like) bits of other movies. The villain was trying to steal the colour from the world, or something.

I’m reasonably sure the title was the boy’s name followed by adventure, or excellent adventure, or amazing adventure.

This has been niggling at me for a VERY long time. Any ideas?

EDIT: The villain also sang a song about stealing the colour!

I’VE FOUND IT!!!

Known variously as, “Andy Colby’s Incredibly Awesome Adventure”,“Andy Colby’s Incredible Adventure” or (somewhat unexpectedly) “Andy and the Airwave Rangers”. It was released in 1988, was produced by Roger Corman and stars nobody you’ve ever heard of. Wonderfully, the film’s poster on the Wikipedia page has somebody riding a bike - just like I remembered!

The trailer is a masterpiece of awful.

That’s 25 years of weight off my shoulders but the question now is, dare I watch it again?!

The beginning of the trailer reminds me of The Never Ending Story, when he meets the old man in the Library/Book store. The main premise reminds me of a John Ritter movie, Stay Tuned (1992). Very similar idea of people getting sucked into the ‘tv land’.

I’m glad. I may end up getting the game if there is a Mario Odyssey Nintendo Switch bundle.

I like the laser backgrounds people use for their avatars. It reminds me of the ones elementary schools would use back in the day.

There isn’t any music in the game, for the most part. There’s no music in the open world. You only hear music in the different towns, and some in the dungeons. So far, that’s my only negative comment on the game, from what I saw yesterday.

I finally got to see Breath of the Wild in the flesh, and not from a youtube clip. The game looks really fun. We were 3 adults and 1 kid trying to solve the puzzles in the first dungeon. It’s the one with the gears and flowing water. Zelda is still fun, but I hate that they removed the great music you normally hear in the game.

Dunkirk (2017)

The cinematography was incredible. It told a lot without having a lot of dialogue. Also, didn’t have a pointless story, like most historical movies. It is worth watching in the movie theater.
