RiK responds - WHAT DUDE - those are THE ONLY known errors besides the BAD copy you sent me that had the repeated scene WHICH I've replaced with a set YOU provided to another member - WHO provided them to me FREE!!!

- I was having some problems with bad burns for a while, so I do apologize for sending out bad copies. I can only imagine you got a set with errors

Rik responds - I got them from from you TR47!!!

- so it would probably be wise to toss the discs and STOP DISTRIBUTING IT

RiK responds - Then PLEASE replace them TR47

- I have upgraded my software and have had no complaints since.

RiK responds - DUDE - so YOU were distributing them out FLAWED - Dude why blame me then - WEAK!!

WHAT - you blame ME!!
I've only sent out about 12 set of the TR47 and ONLY 2 folks noticed the errors - USING HIGH-END systems I might add

Read your own darn post ! - I've only reported these TWO errors THAT you freely admit are ALSO on your SET!!!!

Get real TR47

I can only imagine you got a set with errors, so it would probably be wise to toss the discs and STOP DISTRIBUTING IT-if anyone is interested in this set, please contact me, not Rik. I am going to rerip my originals to see if this will help, but I'm 99% sure these are caused by bad burns. I have upgraded my software and have had no complaints since.

You supplied me with my set and I've had TWO different people copy the set you gave me and the TWO know errors are there.

AS I stated in my previous post these ARE MINOR ERRORS!

IF my copy is flawed that you sent me - PLEASE provide me with an error free copy, I do appreciate that you have stated -

I was having some problems with bad burns for a while, so I do apologize for sending out bad copies.

BUT do not blame ME for this as it was you who provided me with these discs + I reproted the errors to YOU - you then responded with that nasty email about how you WOULD not replace it unless I STOPPED giving them away - remember??

OR if you still see it uncool to replace my copies CAN someone provide me with a set that does NOT have these errors -

I've already had 3 SETS sent to me from fans that got their sets from TR47 - AND ALL SETS that I have have them SAME errors - AGAIN I STREESS THESE are very minor errors JUST like TR47 says - PLEASE READ my review for trhe KNOWN two errors.

SO when all is said and DONE I seem to have 2 PERFECT sets from TR47 (by proxy) AND THEY HAVE NO BURN errors as TR47 would call them - BUT the first set I was send was riddled with burn errors - IT was NOT until 3 forum memebers PROVIDED with with an error free set.

AGAIN I must stress that the errors that were reported are VERY MINOR (except the repeating Leia scene - WHICH I've since had replaced with 3 DIFFERENT copies!!)

I've check my many masters now of the TR47 set - AS I've stated many times I've never sat down and watched this set - as I do preffer to watch the real LD's but - 'm burned on the movies for the most part after watching the many versions that are out now BUT I did sit down and watch the master DVD's (I had my brother watch the TR47 set also. WE did not actually write down the errors time stamps but I've found ALL the same errors on all my masters AGAIN I did find that 1 of my TR47 Jedi discs had the weird scene repeat with Leia and Wicket - MY NEW TR47 disc does not have this error BUT Empire and Jedi both seem to have a bunch of pixulated scenes. I have to add that this set was shipped from TR47 directly to me so I'm using a first gen DVD-R as my master (I transfered it to my HD - and even this has the same errors).

SO I'm gonna be forced to say that I'm going to be forced to NUKE this TR47 ARCHIVE COLLECTION set (I will offer it only on request and only after you read this thread.

- I'm sure it's not just my copy that has this problem now that a few people that have NOT gotten it from me are reporting the same flaws.

To those of you that have traded with me in the past that I told would get new TR47 Jedi disc will still get their free copy of the disc (unless you've already got it by now - only two left to mail out!! )

I do have the ANAMORPHIC set that yet has had any errors reported.

BUT I MUST STATE that ALL these Star Wars Bootlegs have come from amature video producers and NO ONE has claimed to be a Pro - NOW we all have to remember that if we want the BEST version we need to invest in the REAL Laserdiscs - I just had my brother buy me a Special Edition Trilogy box set for $30 on eBay!! (I've not yet watch them and won't for a while )

Let us hope that once the Dual Layer DVD+R's become available we'll have someone take the time to really capture with a REAL MPEG2 capture device such as the DVRex-RT Professional - NOT some Home PC Capture Card well maybe high-end home unit like the Canopus DVStorm2 Pro Ultra and clean up and create a PERFECT COLLECTION (borrowed that from Anime collections )

Well I hope that's what happens
IF anybody wants a Anamorphic set LMK!

All of mine have subs... Weird.

And even STRANGER -

My brother just stopped by and dropped of the Episode II: The Clone War DVD

My master does not have subtitles at all

I just popped it in the DVD player and the PC - nothing!?!?!

So I browsed the VIDEO_TS folder and this is what I found

- A folder named PAR with two files in it called TEMP0.VBS.par + TEMP1.VBS.par < ?????
- VIDEO_TS.BUP
- VTS_01_0.BUP
- .DS_Store < MAC OSX file?
- VIDEO_TS.IFO
- VTS_01_0.IFO
- VOB_DATA.LAY < SpruceUp DVD encoder file?
- Untitled Disc.layout < SpruceUp DVD encoder file?
- VIDEO_TS.VOB
- VTS_01_0.VOB
- VTS_01_1.VOB
- VTS_01_2.VOB
- VTS_01_3.VOB
- VTS_01_4.VOB
- VTS_01_5.VOB

The Balance of the Force DVD has a normal DVD layout and all the normal files and the Subs play just fine
- could I have an early prototype DVD as it does have all the layout files in it still ??

Almost suitable for printing, if they weren't in German.
Not that you'd want to.

Look, see, just how much these cover suck.

They are nothing compared to the excellent work on covers you've made here at OT.com!

I gotta say - Yea we did do better huh?

BUT we did covers for the Original Trilogy not these Ultimate Best Special We'll yet have another version Super Editions

(MY first covers I made had the cool silver/grey spines too!)

DOH!!!!!!!

I just check my HD and the subs are not on my master - BUT I need to check with my Brother who has the actual DVD's - He's working now so it will be at least until Midnight before I find out for sure - IF it does have Subs - ANYONE that got the disc from me will get a replacement FREE of ANY charges - except UK shipping $5 a pop for gloabl priority - I'll check into free airmail but I'll need to check

PLEASE wait until I post that I have it - THEN you can email me NOT PM me (it's gettin' full fast!!) for details on a replacement

Again I'M SO SO SO SO SO SO SORRY about this - I can't figure out why Ep I has them but NOT EP II but rest assured I will find out why!!!

Please forgive me guys........................

Can't wait to see it

BTW, what programs did you use to create these? I've put off my insert designing longer than I should have, mainly because the programs I was using weren't very flexible. Were the programs you used free? Could anyone else suggest a good program for designing covers and inserts?
Thanks!

The subtitle tracks on both were set to default on, so they should be on unless you shut them off.
I was just pointing out that if somebody converted them to put up online, to be sure to add the sub track, as it is separate.
BTW, if your settings are not displaying the subtitles for some reason just press the subtitle button and they should turn on. That is odd though. This is the first I've heard of that problem.

Yeah, I thought I read someone was going to make an XVCD of the edit to be availible. I was alittle worried, like I said because you went to such lengths for digital edits from a digital source that taking a step back wouldn't be wise.

Thanks for the info.

It's not a step back - since you don't have it

I'll be posting as XSVCD - SO you all can download it FAST!!!

I have broadband - not everyone does and not everyone can download a 4 GIG DVD file

My wishlist for the 3 OT movies:

  • Anamorphic video (flawless w/ welding scene & no "gaps")
  • PCM 2.0 audio (straight from LD, lossless)
  • Interactive menus (with chapter selection)
  • NOTHING ELSE (all space devoted to maximum quality)

Is anyone working on a version that fits the bill?

I'll second that svenge! I'd like to see the same thing. With the addition of C-3POs "tractor beam" line put back in and also having them on dual layer discs!

Thanks,
The Dean

The Dean,
Hey bud - I took the covers down and added them to the collection

These are COOL covers guys!! - They have been added to my cover collection

I'll be hosting it in a month or so - keep an eye on my torrent release thread
you can email me for alternatives.

If someone does create an online version, be sure to make sure the subtitles are on it, since they are a separate subtitle track.

It will have them for sure on the XVCD!!!

Again WOW - The Edit is................

Damn I'm at a loss for words, and me at a loss for words!

DAMN it's just that good!

I'm converting it to VCD as I type
