Did you check, if the 25th anniversary DVD with DC and TC has the original mix? It contains a 2.0 Dolby Stereo track.
Also the German Turbine BD set with both cuts contains an English 2.0 Stereo DTS-MA track on the Theatrical Cut.
There is an official pal DVD,and I think a very rare Japanese NTSC DVD containing the unrated version.
But AFAIK nothing in HD…

The theatrical cut should have a run-time of approximately 99 minutes, edited versions about 96 minutes.

But, being a film print does not need to be the original version. I have a print of the edited Version. Well, it is not 16mm, but 35mm.

I have an unused 35mm cinemascope trailer of the twin towers Spiderman trailer. I used to be a projectionist and when we got the letter asking us to send them all back, I kept one. I wish I had kept the letter to go with it!

IIRC, somewhere was said that they made an error on the first squeeze LD release: they forgot to grade the colors. I think somewhere was stated that James Cameron was not amused.
Its not the intended way to watch T2 sure, and I don’t have a problem with the original movie (one of my favorites ever), but in my opinion it’s nice to see a more varried color pallete throughout

At the moment all my three UK Roar tapes are in Italy to be digitalized as soon as temperature dropped and possible… My fourth tape unfortunately is teared apart (edit: just checked: my vcr is broken, and kills tapes now…) … So at the moment I cannot even make a small mobile device video. But as soon as some proof has been digitalized and avaible.

There also exist an DVD release in Germany that is based on a bootleg that brought these scenes into the so called “director’s cut”… But it is a horrible work.
I have the tape, and much DVD and BD releases to check.
The UK tape of the Movie “Roar” (1981) by Noel Marshall with Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith contains much dialogue scenes in english, that are missed on the US BD Release and only inserted in German language on the English audio track of the German BD release.
The page might be reliable but until I see actual images from the VHS itself and not some production photos being passed off as extra footage. I don’t believe it.
You really might be right. I got a Box Set at eBay, and the tape indeed is not longer, but in Full Screen as claimed. So, that release is to be kept with caution. It MAY be that I got a different Tape inside the Box, because the Box was not new… so somebody might have changed the Tape, to keep the original one.

The US theatrical cut of “Yellow Submarine” has not been released in a digital format. It appears on VHS and LD only.

That’s possible… I would have understand it that the German DVD and VHS releases followed the demands to release the version with the missing song. But also the German languaged branch of movie-censorship has an entry that the first german DVD contained the Theatrical Cut, while the new release contains the reconstruction…
Edit: I assume the old DVD only contains the reconstructed version… Next week I may be able to tell… Thanks to eBay… 😄
Well… I hopefully should be able to tell next month. Got the Box at eBay. But can only check on few weekends, when I am where my VHS player is.
I claim that whoever said there is 18 seconds difference is wrong. All those shots are production photos that can be found in The film and the legend book. Even you can see the attempt to hide the spine in the book in the last shot. Dracula has always been the same on all formats nothing has been added to the theatrical cut. The images can be found on pg 55,62,63,100,121 and 132&133
The page is normally extremely reliable and very pernickety regarding shortened versions. So I trust them more than your claim. They also admit, that the pictures where not taken with a capture card, but as photos from the television.
I’m curious about the 18 seconds longer in 6 scenes in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I thought all releases were the same. Is their any information on the differences.
