The planets are mapped on a 2D plane. To really know how close the Unknown Regions are to the rest of the galaxy, you’d have to throw in that z-axis. Space is really spacey n shit!

With all due respect to the person who made and uploaded that DVD5, I would recommend that if someone really wants a DVD copy, they encode their own. There are some serious quality problems with that one (but SW and ESB DVD5s look great!).
That’s actually quite comforting. I found a 20-pack of DVD9s for a good price yesterday, so I just went with them. I’m gonna attempt to just get the AVCHDs on there. At the moment, I’m making the menu interface in Sony DVD Architect. I ripped all of the menus from the 2004 DVDs and I’m implementing them for my Harmy collection! Has anyone done that yet? Am I late to the party? Well anyway, I felt simply drag-and-dropping the films to a blank disc was too bland for me. My OCD won’t allow it. So I thought this would be fun! ^__^
Me and my father and little brother have decided to watch all 6 in prep. When I visit on Friday, we’ll be on ROTS. During Ep. I, my dad spoke up during some Binks antics and just said, “George Lucas must’ve lost his goddamn mind…” During the podrace, he was like, “Did Lucas think he was making Ben-Hur? Like, was this supposed to be his big chariot race scene? This… this is just awful.” And then he passed out. We woke him up after the race.
He was actually interested to rewatch Clones, on account of he couldn’t remember anything from it. When me and my brother reminded him that it’s “the romance one” he quickly replied, “Oh yeah! …oh…” He fell asleep rather early on during it.
TehParadox.com didn’t have Chewtobacca’s DVD5 transfer. I wanted to put that on a DVD… Is it only on MySpleen? …cause that place scares me. Or maybe Chewie’s just waiting for Harmy’s updated print…?

I dunno, dude. I love L8WRTR’s edits, but he cut out the ‘deathsticks’ exchange from Episode II. That’s kind of a deal breaker for me. The ‘deathsticks’ scene is one of the very few moments of joy I experience watching Attack of the Clones! XD

So I’m new on this forum, but I’ve been pretty invested in the Star Wars fan edit universe for awhile. I’ve watched L8WRTR and HAL 9000’s alternate cuts of the prequels. I’ve seen Adywan’s “two can play at that game, Lucas” Edition of Star Wars. And, of course, I have cherished Harmy’s despecialized gifts to the world; texting friends in all caps, “You have to come over and watch Star Wars with me!! I got the unaltered originals in HD!! No more fucking CGI dewbacks!!!”
So I wasn’t sure how exactly to introduce myself here. You guys are like MVP Star Wars fans! All of your work is pretty cool! The last thing I wanna do on a forum filled with hardcore Star Wars fans that constantly discuss and debate minuscule details about movies that at the end of the day are merely family films designed for escapism and mindless entertainment… is seem uncool…
So anyway, after combing through the threads and not finding mention of this rather recent edit, I figured that would be my best approach to the popular kids table.

I caught wind of it a couple weeks ago, and I’m in awe that it’s not catching more recognition. This guy, an editor named Darth Lunar, rewrote the script, man… He, he just changed the game.
A non-linear cut of the prequel trilogy that utilizes a brand new script by substituting the Japanese dub in the audio and rewriting the subtitles. If that’s not cool, then I’m not cool, and I just told you how I don’t want to be uncool! With these changes he creates new character arcs, recurring story motifs, and an overall stronger narrative, in my opinion. The themes of revenge, control, and destiny are heavy in this edit! And maybe it’s just the Japanese dub, but it also really feels like a straight-up Kurosawa samurai movie!! …or maybe I’m just racist. I dunno. I don’t think I am.
The most pertinent dilemma of this cut, however, is that if you speak Japanese, you will not be able to sit through this edit. It’d be like two dialogues are clashing in your brain. You’d have to just mute the video. On that note, I think getting an isolated score version of this edit would be pretty cool. Another problem is the length. Some trimming could definitely benefit this. All in all though, this is definitely worth watching.
