Never heard of this fan theory of accepting the saber. I just chalked it up as a “gotcha” moment from Rian Johnson, in the fact that most viewers wouldn’t notice the obviousness of the blue saber even after it was destroyed which acted as a clue that he wasn’t really there.
His edits are intriguing, but his desires to make money from his editing is what causes the anger.

Agreed, just make sure you read up on the rules over there before you do anything - they’re not too different than the rules here, but there are some differences, and they’re very strictly enforced. But the moderation staff there is very friendly and helpful, and will answer any questions you might have about said rules via private messages with them.

The nice thing about submitting is that you’ll get some technical feedback and then the information is housed in the database. Helps with awareness of edits.

It’s not completely clear what this is, but the vague description alludes to it being a massive, enormous, and ambitious series of edits. But the details just suggest ‘no Jar Jar, some splicing of clone war episodes, new crawls, and DVD quality, but maybe just a blueprint’.
Is anyone planning to or already attempting to finish the vfx in the “That’s weird that you recorded that” scene with Finn and BB-8 (unfinished background) and the scene when Finn, Rose, DJ and BB-8 are walking through the Supremacy (finish ceiling, remove gray suited BB-9E puppeteer, remove motor unit)?
If you use a mask you can keep other colors from changing.
It’s probably due to that being the point at which the crawl meets the pre-existing footage. Also, the frame rates might be different.
Also, Jackpumpkinhead and myself both have created completely free crawl creators that use blender in case your trial of After Effects ends before completion.
Well, if he didn’t use a pirated download for his edit he might have 5.1 or even 7.1 audio. I was intrigued at first, but I have become more and more disappointed the more I see on YouTube. I just hope this doesn’t become the catalyst for shutting down the fan edit community.

I mentioned this on one of his videos when he was saying he didn’t understand why YouTube wouldn’t monetize his channel. His response was, “True true”.
It seems that he’s only interested in receiving feedback from his Patreon followers.
I think it has more to do with the $ people are giving him.
Episode 8 (as the twin movie of Episode 3… yeah, I insist about that, 3/8 are created as mirrors and are both very good SW movies with their own flaws and their greatness).
I guess I don’t see what you’re seeing. The Supremacy bb8 stuff felt like Episode 3, but that’s about it for me.
I’m just shocked at all of the money he’s getting via his patron site. I don’t mean any offense, but he hasn’t really shown anything that rivals Adywan or NeverarGreat, SirRidley, or Hal’s work.

I honestly could care less about episode IX. Rey’s character/story is the only pary I’m mildly interested in. I wish they kept Rogue One’s characters alive. I would rather of seen their alternate view to the OT. That’s what made Shadows of the Empire so intriguing.

What NLE are you using? Some times you can get away with it by adjusting the speed rate and remove resampling.

If you have the means/funds to edit in 4k you are probably an industry grade editor. If not, 1080p is the norm.

While that is an entirely inconsequential thing to complain about, and also a stupid reason to not like the movie, if I had my way, the purple hair would be gone.
Ive been messing around with the secondary color correction to give her brown hair. Sadly, it’s not been very successful, yet.
