I see we'll still arguing about the Hoth battle.
Personally, I've always liked the idea of more going on in orbit and on the planet surface.
It didn't seem like the rebel losses were substantial enough. I've always felt it needed more snowspeeders taken out along more rebels being shot down in the snow.
But what bothers me the most is no X-Wings or Rebel Transports shot down in space. That was ridiculous.
Add up the dead snowspeeder pilots and the few dead ground troops and it seems like the rebels lost ten guys - maximum. Now I know we don't see everything going on, but for a movie like this, well, that's a copout. One of the main tenets of filmmaking is show, don't tell.
Now I know we see Adywan's talent and we hope for more, but the truth is that he has already succeeded by leaps and bounds. We just have to accept that there is only so much a dedicated fan can do. He doesn't have a limitless budget or ILM's equipment behind him.
Personally, I'm coming close to total acceptance that there are things that perhaps a majority of us can agree on which we'll never get.
Believe me when I say that I don't want to go on a negative Lucas rant, but since I've been here, and since I've seen Adywan's work on ANH-R, well, I just wish Lucas cared 1/1,000,000,000th as much.
Perhaps then....
