There were many great visual FX achievements in ESB.
The original Vader hologram however was not one of them. I'm VERY happy with that upgrade.

Hey it's SW so its worth the time and effort. Particularly ESB. Best film in the saga in many people's opinion.

A still image "superimposed" over the original would look ridiculous.

But then if they already know she's there you'd have to remove Han, Luke and 3P0's shocked reactions to seeing her with the Ewoks later on.
Their reactions currently come off as surprised (and happy) to see her.
But their being surprised would seem weird if they already knew she'd be there.
