Like Frink’s projects I find actual value from watching the edits. They seem more believable even with the hooters jokes.
I’m currently making a fan-edit of The Phantom Menace, and since all of the “jokes” are gone when you take out most of Jar Jar, I was thinking about adding a scene from Auralnaut’s "Jedi Party to make it funnier. Problem is, I’m not sure which scene to add. I don’t want it to feel out of place, so only the ones like “You told me there was a bar here” or C-3PO awakening without skin would make sense.
No offense, kid, but I don’t think you know how to boil water.
“I thought there was a bar here,” and Panaka replying, “Yeah, my bad” is a pretty hilarious scene and could probably fit in a realistic fanedit.
Seperately, my favorite line has to be Qui-Gon’s “Hello, ladies!”
I love how close to accurate the voiceovers are.

I dunno, the auralnauts versions are hilarious but I’m not sure if those jokes would be fitting in an otherwise serious movie

I second this one! Me and my brother always quote that.
