For people who haven't seen it, I just wanted to share my favorite line from the whole thing. Jeremy Bullock (Boba Fett) being interviewed and saying, "Now that I am a Pez and a Lego, I don't want for anything more." That line made the whole thing worthwhile.

VH-1 really went balls out on interviews here. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Jeremy Bullock, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Irvin Kershner. I can't remember if Kenny Baker and Warwick Davis were actually interviewed or if they were just in archive footage. It's worth the download time once the link is posted.

So i am a noob here, and the noob question of the day for sama is why is Kevin Smith disliked around here?

While watching the When Star Wars Ruled show i got the feeling that he wanted to share his displeasure with where star wars had gone, but held back, got the same sense from harrison too.

anyone else pick that up or am i just suffering from delusions of granduer...

Well, I think VH-1 was just trying to focus on how Star Wars dominated popular culture and not how Lucas is playing the revisionist card. That's probably why they restrained Smith a bit.

I don't know about Smith hating around here. I've never really experienced it to any really noteworthy degree. I'm a full-fledged Smith junkie. All kinds of View Askew love from me. I met the guy and he's just as cool in person.

Seriously, you've made me very happy.

On the topic of Kevin Smith. I find it funny that the most memorable part in his first film is when the characters talk about another, BETTER film. That's kind of funny.

To me, his movies stink. I also thought his comments about the unmasking of Vader being a "disappointment" were incredibly stupid.

Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.

ya and you should remember that the peoples reaction to first seeing these movies were to the ORIGINAL VERSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I am concerned they are the same movies. Movies that changed the world and enhanced cinema forever. A few added effects are not going to change that. These are the same films that inspired so many. Plus these DVDs rock.

I saw this program too.

My fav line was when Kevin said "When Han Solo said, I know., to Leia when she said I love you." Han said it like a "Pimp".

that was funny IMO.
