Sub Project : The Dark Knight
- Received HDTV rip from mass5160. Legend.

Content Creation -
- Rip Bluray (The Dark Knight Disc 1) ((AnyDVDHD)) to (root:)/The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight/Video/BRRip/Disc 1, rip to folder so you have folders BDMV and CERTIFICATE contained within.
- Copy The Dark Knight.ts (HDTV Version) to (root:)/The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight/Video/HDTVRip
- Demuxed file ((eac3to)) (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\BRRip\Disc1\BDMV\STREAM 0007.mts.
- Delete .vc1 file
- Copy demuxed files to correct folders in V:\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\Final .SUP files and Chapter.txt in subs folder, Audio tracks in Audio folder.
- Load (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\BRRip\Disc1\BDMV\STREAM 0007.mts. into media encoder ((TMPGenc)).
- Export in a intermediate codec to (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\Footage TDK.bluray.extention (avi)
- Create .avs file ((Text Editor)) with settings -
copy and paste into .txt file changing (root) to drive Letter -
directshowsource("(root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\HDTVRip\The Dark Knight.ts",audio=false)
assumefps(23.976)
- Then save as .avs (make sure extention is renamed to .avs) to (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\HDTVRip TDK.HDTV.23.976.avs
- Load (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\HDTVRip TDK.HDTV.23.976.avs into Media Encoder ((TMPGenc)) adding deinterlace.
- Export in a intermediate codec to (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\Footage TDK.HDTV.23.976.extension (avi), No Audio.
NOTES: Rendered out to a 1024 x 576 @23.976, 2 channel 48kHz, UT Codec 420 for proxy work (Less CPU heavy and smaller files).
saved all above as project files to re-render as 1080p later.
Editing -
- Open Editor ((Adobe Premiere CS6)) and create a Project with the following Sequence / Settings.
Height and With :1920 x 1080
Fields : Progressive
FPS : 23.976
Codec :Intermediate codec used (UT Codec 4.2.0)
Audio :5.1 48kHz 16bit
NOTE: Im using 2 Channel audio for the proxy and adding 5.1 audio later.
- Import contents of (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight\Video\Footage into Editor ((CS6)).
- Place TDK.bluray on Top and TDK.HDTV.23.976 on Bottom of the created sequence.
NOTES: Using Scale to Full Screen option for proxy file.
- Save the Project as (root):\The Dark Knight Trilogy\The Dark Knight The Dark Knight.extension (.pproj)

"On The Dark Knight Blu-ray transfer, the biggest error – by far the biggest error – its producers committed was the complete change of the film's original color timing. The Dark Knight was not copied with an optical printer. The original material – I held it in my hands – it was gorgeous. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was… I fell flat off my chair. (Laughs) The colors are so different compared to those that appear in the Blu-ray transfer. I've seen the Blu-ray once, and I've never looked at it again. "
