Watched like 40 minutes of it, and while it first started as a refreshing and bold fanedit, it quickly became a mess.
For example: maybe I'm a bit slow between the ears.... but why rotoscoping out Jar Jar in the scene where he goes in the water (the one with his big cartoony jump)... if you keep the splash? Why the fucking splash is left here? I tried and tried to get an answer to that, but came with nothing. If someone can explain, I'd like it.
And you just can't have OB1 and Quigon entering the water for no reason (although just maybe to hide from the Federation, all right) and in the next scene with them, they are at the Naboo Palace. Going from underwater in a forest to the Palace needs an explanation. I like movies that let the audience do the thinking, but there are limits.
Too bad because I thought the begining of the edit was pretty interesting (although a lot of weak sound and music transitions). There are some clever cuts in the first 30 minutes (even if it felt more like a Clone Wars episode than a movie. But I like Clone Wars!), but then the following minutes completely destroyed the thing for me: random short scenes to lead the audience to the flashback ("13 years earlier" text above the picture).
Maybe I'll give a try to the rest of the edit, as the first minutes showed some bold and refreshing ideas like starting in the middle of the war and trying to hide Anakin's indentity, but I really think the faneditor got overwhelmed by his vision.
