Sin City: The Movie

Okay, it's time to move this out of the Daredevil thread (or whatever thread it was in, I can't remember) and into one of its own. Especially after finding this little tidbit...

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is packing up a U-Haul with a host of top talent in hopes that they'll move into "Sin City."

According to multiple sources, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Elijah Wood, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy, Kate Bosworth and Jaime King have been targeted for the Dimension Films project, an adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel series. Some of the actors have already signed on for parts, while others are only in discussions or have just received offers to join the cast.

Other names being bandied about include Benicio Del Toro and Maria Bello, though offers had not yet gone out to either as of late Wednesday. Set to start shooting shortly, "Sin City" will be composed of three intertwining vignettes revolving around a dark set of characters that call the fictional corrupt town home.

Lose Brittany Murphy from that list and I could be a happy camper. Bosworth and King I have no immediate feelings one way or another. Might be good to see them in something different. Murphy just kinda annoys me.

I actually kind of like Britnay Murphy and I think she has the right look to suite SC. That dark circles under the eyes been around the block one too many times (sorry Brit) kind of look.

Well, let's recap her last couple of years. She got married in real life (not just the movie), Ashton Kutchered her before that, and of course there's Eminem revealing his Slim Shady. Yep, she has reason for the dark circles.

Depends on the type of character she's playing. I got a kick out of her in Clueless, but could take or leave her in just about anything else.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Wells he could be the cowboy stripper who appears in every SC yarn, and ends up being hte little girl Hartigan is trying to protect in that yellow bastard.

Or the chick who gets killed at the opening of the original SC

I'll be there. Not as familiar with Sin City as the rest of you. But I've got a pretty okay idea what it's all about.

that artwork was what attracted me. That's usually what draws me into specific comic books is the art. Then, if I like the story, I'll look for more by that writer. Did anyone read Miller's 300? That was incredible.

Okay, not follow up in the traditional sense of the phrase. More like, did he ever come out with some other historical piece like that?

Oh, and I checked my comics this weekend. 300 was indeed five issues.
