Preservation of Safari 3000 is now complete.

Sourced from VHS recording from analog cable, but superior to the official VHS tape.  Plenty of digital clean up, rainbow removal, IVTC, etc.  (for those following, I eventually got the IVTC to work).

As always you can PM me if you have questions.

Buckle up for a laugh-filled African safari you won’t soon forget! Stockard Channing, David Carradine and Christopher Lee star in this fast-fast-paced adventure—a car race through the deepest, darkest wilds of Africa!
Channing, as J.J. Dalton, is a pretty Playboy feature writer determined to do a story on the African International Rally—a three-day, 3,000 kilometer race over some of the continent’s roughest terrain. David Carradine, as Eddie Miles, is a hotshot stunt car driver determined to compete in the race, even if it means putting up with a dizzy Playboy writer as his navigator.
And Christopher Lee, as Count Lorenzo Borgia, is determined to win the race. In fact, the Count will stop at nothing to achieve his dream, including blowing up bridges, changing directional signs and hiring fierce-looking natives to arrange the permanent absence of his rivals. Besides the single-minded Count, the drivers face a few minor obstacles—three angry bull elephants, a pride of hungry lions and 2,000 spear-carrying Zulu tribesmen.
For a short cut to fast, fun-filled entertainment, take Safari 3000. It’s your cinematic ticket to top-speed adventure!

No, it's not good. :)  It's just a silly action-romantic-comedy, but I'm fond of it.

I may release this as an Xvid somewhere for the curious.

From the description, it sounds like The Cannonball Run in Africa.

I loved The Cannonball Run.
