Seeing how hands on Vader is in Rogue One the death of Captain Antilles looks a bit hokey. I don’t know if it could be done but if instead of just crushing his neck and throwing him against a wall it might be better if he let go of him and crushed his throat in mid air using the Force. I’d much rather see more of SW Vader than R1 Vader. Lifting a guy off the ground by his throat and breaking his neck one handed is much more intimidating, brutal and real than doing the same thing from a distance using magic.

No it isn’t I’ve done both and the magic is much more impressive. His little legs just dangling there and him all scared and everything… it was classic!

i meant a new hope to match the scene in rebels better so he seems more angry or something

Because of “Rogue One” it has made me very interested in the original film again. I watched the original Battle of Yavin and then I watched the Revisited Version.
I then set about Color Correcting the Original Version just for fun and then I noticed the Pilots Jumpsuits keep changing color and a lot of the Cockpit shots of all the Rebel Pilots have moments where they are in the wrong Hue.
But I then thought hang on… I prefer the Battle of Yavin in ANH Revisited in a lot of Ways but I also like the Original in a lot of ways too. But I noticed the pilots Jumpsuits were still off in a lot of shots in Revisited.
I am currently putting together a version of the Battle of Yavin with Extra shots and alterations using Revisited as the main source but it’s going to be expanded in certain areas and cut in different areas restoring quite a few original shots and basically I am working on a Re-Hash of the Battle of Yavin ONLY and have done color correction on a large number of shots to sort the Jumpsuits out and also various other shots.
My question is. Do you mind if I share it when it’s finished? There is no Disrespect towards your work here at all in the slightest. I think I have made a number of Changes that are enhancing things slightly in different areas and making a sort of unusual Hybrid. It’s still quite a way off from being finished I’d say about 65-70% done I have quite a few ideas and I am just having some fun no intention of a serious all bells and whistles Project.
If you want me to be more specific about what I am doing then I can be. If you want me to share it with you first then I don’t have a problem with that either so as you can give it a thumbs up or thumbs down (Even in it’s current unfinshed state). It’s just a bit of fun. But I won’t Share it without your permission.

Fair point but reminding him of what color the Rebels Jumpsuits should be? I don’t think I have ever seen it look so good until I did this hue alteration. It makes a huge difference for a small thing.
Ady did a lot of good work on the color and although like I said I looked at the original first that had an awful lot of Blue and green that was hard to get rid of. Most of which Ady had already done so it was an easy go to version and less work to be honest. Because I wanted to see that change most of all. Everything else I have done is just some fluff some shots restored and some tightening on the original to be honest. But some good to varying (due to my skill with video) amounts of Fluff 😃
If anything I wanted to at least say what I found that makes a “good” big difference.

I don’t want to over step the mark but I will drop a small tester of what the color correction I have done looks like for the cockpit shots(Which can I please also re-itterate this is a problem with the film not a problem created by revisited).
I have also gone as far as to split screen color correct to fix the jumpsuits but keep revisited elements in the correct colors.
I have also created a new shot as a replacement to try and fix the perspective issue. I am all good apart from this one shot in the edit. As you can see I am not in any sort of competition with Ady’s skills in special effects. I’d even go as far to either say hope you like the idea but I’ll probably have to ditch that fly by destruction shot. But it’s fine as an idea.
for any other shots added I have found footage to achieve what I wanted to do and It looks a good match and works.
I think if Ady stays silent then I won’t mention it again but I certainly am not doing anything evil. I’d love him to do something with that one shot though (wink).

Hey Adywan, I just watched your Star Wars ANH Revisited the other day. I like what you did with your revision. Great combination of Original scenes and tweaking some FX shots, to make the scene better. I especially liked the animated Death Star plans, the updated map in the war room in the rebels base. Great stuff man!
