TRUMP: No I have, it’s interesting, I have, seem to get very high ratings. I definitely. You know Chris Wallace had 9.2 million people, it’s the highest in the history of the show. I have all the ratings for all those morning shows. When I go, they go double, triple. Chris Wallace, look back during the Army-Navy football game, I did his show that morning.

AP: I remember, right.

TRUMP: It had 9.2 million people. It’s the highest they’ve ever had. On any, on air, (CBS “Face the Nation” host John) Dickerson had 5.2 million people. It’s the highest for “Face the Nation” or as I call it, “Deface the Nation.” It’s the highest for “Deface the Nation” since the World Trade Center. Since the World Trade Center came down. It’s a tremendous advantage.

I read the article and the transcript. Trump is not slamming 9/11, quite the opposite, he is showing that more people are interested in the crap reporting than they were with 9/11. And sadly, he is correct to say that it has bee a benefit to him. In fact, it helped get him elected, and they still can’t stop complaining instead of fixing what they did wrong to get him there.

You are truly amazing.

I get that you’re laughing at me, but why? This is a slap at the media, and the media did help him win, not 9/11. There is a method to the madness and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to think up the method.

I’m not laughing at you, I just can’t believe the things you think you’ve read when it’s plainly clear he’s simply bragging about ratings, and doing so with a despicable comparison to the ratings from coverage of 9/11.

Why do you believe there is only one possible interpretation of what he said?

I give up.

THIS is fucked up. 😦

https://www.wired.com/2017/03/feds-rather-drop-child-porn-case-give-exploit/

The Department of Justice filed a motion in Washington State federal court on Friday to dismiss its indictment against a child porn site. It wasn’t for lack of evidence; it was because the FBI didn’t want to disclose details of a hacking tool to the defense as part of discovery. Evidence in United States v. Jay Michaud hinged at least in part on information federal investigators had gathered by exploiting a vulnerability in the Tor anonymity network.

“Because the government remains unwilling to disclose certain discovery related to the FBI’s deployment of a ‘Network Investigative Technique’ (‘NIT’) as part of its investigation into the Playpen child pornography site, the government has no choice but to seek dismissal of the indictment,” federal prosecutor Annette Hayes wrote in the court filing on Friday. She noted that the DoJ’s work to resist disclosing the NIT was part of “an effort to balance the many competing interests that are at play when sensitive law enforcement technology becomes the subject of a request for criminal discovery.”

In other words, the feds are letting an alleged child pornographer free so that officials can potentially catch other dark-web using criminals in the future.

Check the date on the article. There was a small media dustup about a month ago, and nothing.

Meanwhile in North Carolina, HB330 just passed the House, which protects you from civil suits if you run over protesters with your car. Veto expected, but how the crap can a majority of any collection of human beings vote for this?

Any collection of human beings contains an unfortunate number of shitty human beings. Just look at the entire Republican party.

I kid…kind of. Moderate Republicans are becoming extinct.

I put the date in the post for a reason. I wasn’t trying to hide anything.

This is about protesters who illegally abstruct the highways, and subsequently get hit by cars because they’re being idiots. The drivers are not at fault if they hit a person who shouldn’t be out on the road like that.

Now, I don’t think people should hit protesters on the road, but it’s the fault of the protester that they’re out there on the road illegally.

The DNC is no less shitty than the RNC so I am unsure as to why it would actually matter. It’s not top secret or anything.

There is NO possible way that Trump would intentionally claim that “crap reporting” helps him. He has continually derided criticism of him as being the crap reporting. Rather, clearly he is bragging about how wonderful it is that his ratings are higher than 9-11. As if the families of the victims of 9-11 were overjoyed at how high their ratings were. It’s similar to his referring to the Purple Heart with “congratulations” and “tremendous”… just in bad taste.

Presuming these are all examples of unintentional faux-pas, then it just shows how crass, un-thoughtful, and un-presidential he is.

Trump did not cheat Bernie Sanders, Trump did not have the answers given to him in advance of the Town Hall, Trump did not enlist the Russians to hack the election, and Trump did not keep Top Secret documents on an non-encrypted server at his home. If you think the fake media did not help get him elected that is your choice but I believe his comment was directed at the media, not to bolster his ego, by comparing himself to 9/11 coverage.

There have also been cases of people ramming cars into protesters. This law means anyone who gets hit in that situation has to prove the driver intended to hit them, rather than the driver having to prove the protester was unavoidable. The switch in burden is significant.

Now, I don’t think people should hit protesters on the road, but it’s the fault of the protester that they’re out there on the road illegally.

Right of way isn’t a death penalty affair. You drive, you avoid obstacles.

This does sound like a reasonable issue, and I was unaware that intent-based hits have been occurring.

Now, I don’t think people should hit protesters on the road, but it’s the fault of the protester that they’re out there on the road illegally.

I think a big issue is that some people are so stupid that they think it’s a good idea to protest in the middle of a highway, and especially those who don’t get out of the way when a car isn’t slowing down.

Dang, this is why I promised myself to no-longer respond to your posts. Bad puggo! I guess I have to periodically be reminded.

Apparently you neglected the part where I said what you believe is your choice. What I believe is then mine. So, what makes your opinion right and mine wrong? Or can you not answer that because others agree with you?

I’m curious to know.

If a car doesn’t slow down when there’s a person in the road, you don’t have to look further than that for the problem. Maybe the person is blind and lost. Maybe they’re trying to escape a rabid porcupine. Maybe they’re sleepwalking. And maybe they’re stupid. But you slow down, even for stupid people.
