Feedback Wanted: Palpatine creating the army in TPM?

I saw this in one of Smithers’ preview videos, and have considered using this in my own edit of TPM, but I realized that there isn’t much of a central conflict in AOTC if the army is created in TPM, since the whole idea of a clone army had been around for 10 years.

What say y’all? Is it a reasonable edit, or does it make AOTC pretty much pointless? If this were to happen, my AOTC edit would almost completely be about Anakin and Padme, which isn’t too awful with good editing

My two cents: Who cares if AotC is pointless. Just make TPM Episode II if it makes it pointless.

Okay Episode II is still necessary imo because we should know about Anakin and Padme and how they fell in love, but it does makes for a weird ending for AOTC.

The more I think about it, the more it works out, though. I could say in the crawl that Separatists have been an increasing threat, and the Republic has been using the army to counter them more and more- and the whole “ten years ago” makes more sense in AOTC since Palpatine had created the army ten years prior
