In my defense

Hello, I am HansiG, also known as TonyS or that guy who always teamkills by accident in CS:GO, and this right here is a sock account.

I am posting this from sock account since my main account is banned, and I am aware that by creating this post, I have extended my ban to god-knows-how-long, and I am completely willing to accept that.

Now, to the main point. I have been lurking and watching, and I have to tell you, I have seen a lots of things, but a shitstorm like this, I have not yet seen.

With today’s spam/troll attack, seeping out into pretty much all threads, I felt like I had to come here and write this thread.

The first of my two main concerns is: How could this happen? This forum exists since 2003 (2002?), and sadly it seems like it is still stuck in that year. I don’t understand why is IP ban not an option, when pretty much every forum software, and every forum I ever posted on, had that option. When such basic option is not available in the forum software, perhaps it would be best to switch to a different forum software.

My second concern is my role in this entire fiasco. For pretty the entire last to 2 weeks, voices have arisen that I am responsible for creating this spamming accounts. I have to oppose this.

Though I can understand why some people might find some of my posts spammy or trolly, I would never steep down to the level of spamming racial slurs and hentai, and cluttering the forum with insanely long topic titles, and none of my posts went ever beyond any line, definitely none that other users here cross here without any trouble.

Most people came to that conclusion since Otaku Warrior joined shortly after my Ban for posting image-only post outside off-topic. This is false. Otaku Warrior joined before my ban, and in fact, I even replied to him, mocking his silly name.

As for the accusation that I am a sock of Wario, I have no real evidence to prove my innocence, except my own word, which I know most of you won’t believe. Still, I am not Wario, and me joining day after his ban is pure coincidence. The same applies to Dat_SW_Guy who I also have no relation to whatsoever.

Before my ban, HansiG was my one and only account. About a week after the ban, I made this sock account to contact Jay and ask him a question about the lenght. These are my only accounts.

I would like all of you to stop accusing me of this and putting the blame on me, when I am not connected to anything that has happened, and I just want to wait out the ban so I could continue posting like a normal member of this community.

Thanks for reading this, and I hope in future we can see less of bullshit like this, and create a much friendlier, troll-less enviroment here on this forum.

I think the mods are under the impression that all of those accounts were you (and they may have well been), so your ban may not get lifted at all.

Irrelevant. Plenty of people have posted here under multiple accounts at the same time, and have even had conversations with themselves.

I don’t believe you are Dat Guy. Other than that, I absolutely believe you are Wario, Otaku, Schi-whatever, and everyone else you are accused of being. Not that it matters anyway, you deserve to be banned even if you’re only Wario, which you most definitely are.

I changed my mind. I no longer think you’re doing all the anime porn spamming, though I’m still convinced you are Wario.

Anywho … since I am not privy to the technical side, i.e. ip address and private info, like the mods and some others might be, I am on the fence about this.

Creating a sock account that might get you banned even longer than waiting out your original ban was certainly not the best choice. If you are Wario … you might as well accept your fate. If you are not Wario … only time will tell.

I had a sock once. It was blatantly transparent and I failed to make the most of it. I deserved to have it taken away from me.
