Internet privacy in the UK is a lot worse than in the US.

That’s a different (and IMO a much less important) issue. Monitoring where we go on the web, is different to having were we want to go locked behind a paywall.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

I think that’s debatable. I value privacy more than almost anything. I hate being watched.

Option A: You can browse originaltrilogy.com as much as you like and discuss why the PT is soooo bad to your heart’s content but there is a small possibility that your originaltrilogy.com activity may be monitored… but in reality nobody actually gives a f**k.

Option B: You aren’t allowed to browse originaltrilogy.com and are instead only allowed to browse theforce.net because it’s owned by somebody, who is owned by somebody, who is owned by somebody, who is owned by Disney. Any mention of the Prequels not being masterpieces will result in thread closures and bans… but nobody is monitoring you.

(theforce.net isn’t owned by Disney obviously. Just a joke)

Option A is the lesser of two evils for me.

This is what happens without net neutrality.

With Net Neutrality gone, the flow of information will be controlled on a level people just aren’t thinking about yet.

Imagine the lowest priced net service including only Breitbart, RT, Infowars, TrumpTV, Fox News, basic email & Facebook.

It’ll happen.

Let me explain net neutrality in the most horrific way:

if FCC dismantles it, and you get internet from Verizon, they may force you to use YAHOO as your search engine (because they own it), but PAY to use GOOGLE.

Would you like that? If not, you SUPPORT #NetNeutrality.

none of that seems desirable.

I think both are bad and should be avoided.

Correct! Who wants to use Yahoo?

I use Yahoo sometimes, but I don’t want anyone telling me whether to use Google or Yahoo and certainly don’t want to have to pay for the privilege of using either one, I also think it is nobody’s business which one I use.

Is anybody seriously arguing for no monitoring of the internet?

I don’t want the government tracking my Internet usage, just as I don’t want the government recording my phone calls.

Newsflash! Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the US Election has been closed. Turns out he didn’t actually have any evidence of anything because US Security wasn’t allowed to monitor internet traffic. Mueller was just making it all up. Trump and Putin were right after all! 😉

The link text pretty much says it all, but you can google it if you want, there’s other sites reporting on it.

Idiot. Shot her after sunset and in New York State, it is illegal to hunt after midnight. The husband of the victim also said she was shot on their neighbor’s property and this guy did not have permission to hunt there. If people are going to hunt, it should only be in designated areas that are clearly marked and everyone entering such designated areas should be required to wear those reflective vests, so humans can’t be mistaken for deer. Then again maybe we should just leave deer alone and not kill for fun. Then again, idiots shouldn’t have guns.

Maybe if their natural predators hadn’t been nearly wiped out we wouldn’t have a deer overpopulation problem?

Nobody should ever kill for fun, bit there’s good reason for deer season.

perhaps, but again it should only happen in designated areas and everyone going in such areas should be required to the orange reflective material and also hunts should only shoot when they are sure they are firing at a dear and not a human.

Maybe, but those natural predators are also animals that can be dangerous to humans.
