I take it you saw the pile of shit that’s masquerading as a Dark Tower movie?

I do agree with ol’ Lesser Evets opinions in the comments below that article.
Hmm, something familiar about that name…

Nope. I watched the epic in sloppy silliness that was Lost in Space last night, which made me reflect on all the movies Goldsman’s written in the past; I realized almost none of them have received positive reception.
Am I the only one that thinks all food tastes more or less the same? As long as it isn’t McDonald’s or something totally inedible, I’ll eat it without complaining. In fact, the more fancy, gourmet, and “better” the food, the less likely I am to enjoy it.

You are not alone. I think we suffer from similar neuroses.
I’m not neurotic. Food is food. Different meals taste a little different, but for the most part, as long as it isn’t really gross, it’s all the same. I think people just like fancy stuff because they’re told it’s good and it’s expensive.

That sounds awful, although it seems like it would make it easier to eat healthier…?
I’m not saying that I can’t taste anything; I know mac and cheese tastes different than ice cream, for example, but I’m not hung up over anything because it’s all just food to me. I’m very unhealthy though. I usually don’t eat very much and then eat a whole lot once I realize I’m hungry.

Makes me wish I had a less robust palate.

It’d be nice if I were told about things that have a direct effect on me at work when they’re known about in advance rather than having it sprung on me with no warning as it happens. Goddammit.
JEDIT: spelling.

Exact same here yet I still am a solid 10 pounds underweight.
Nothing tastes quite like Soylent Green though. 😉
I wish these would make a comeback, as I loved them almost as much as Pop Tarts.

I wouldn’t say I’m underweight but my weight is normal. I would say a solid third, at least, of my calories come from alcohol which you’d think would make me fat but I also smoke pot and I’ve read that pot makes you thinner, and my own personal observations and experiences point to that being true.

Someone else brought up the “pot makes you thinner” thing to me the other day (while we were smoking a bowl, of course). Apparently it increases your metablolism or something - you just gotta watch out for them munchies.
I got braces put on yesterday, which would be bad enough if I didn’t also have to get a non removable plate stuck to my upper back teeth to widen my jaw, which means I can’t talk, eat, or swallow (since it blocks the roof of my mouth from my tongue) and am in great pain constantly.
Not enough people read the EU.

For how long will you be unable to speak or eat?
Not sure, the dentist said I would get used to it in time, but I can’t imagine how. Eating is the worst, since all the food gets stuck in between the plate and the roof of my mouth.

Well it’s been proven (I think but I’m too lazy to find a source) that it improves your body’s ability to process sugar so that makes sense. Also it slightly, but not dangerously increases your heart rate (for some people it’s more than slightly but this diminishes with tolerance. It lowers your blood pressure overall for regular users though by relaxing blood vessels so I wouldn’t say it’s actually working your heart all that much harder but it does go a bit faster so it burns more calories) so you’ll burn more calories just existing.

That sucks, but it will be so much better when you’re done. You’ll probably never know how much it’s helped you. Remember to be thankful for that when you’re middle aged and not in pain.
I hope it’s over for ya quick! Till then, courage.

That sounds weird. I know certain people who can tell the difference from, for example, a real pizza and a pizza from Little Caesars, but don’t really care. I haven’t heard of anyone who can’t tell the difference, or have an inverse relationship between the quality of the food and enjoyment.
Till then, courage.
Food is food. As long as it’s clean, I can eat it.
