That’s a sad and unfortunate way to die. I always liked him in True Lies.

Holy crap.
I thought this was supposed to end with 2016.
I thought this was supposed to end with 2016.
Or 2015.
Or 2014.
Or 2013.
And so on.
This stuff, awful as it is, happens every year, and will continue to do so.
unfortunately true. 😦
Neil Fingleton, 7ft 7in British actor who played Game of Thrones giant Mag the Mighty and was the UK’s tallest man dies of heart failure, aged 36

Bill Paxton was one of those actors who could create the engaging characters that really make movies special.

Damn, Bill Paxton’s gone. I wish he was in more stuff. What a loss.
Not enough people read the EU.
And Judge Wapner of People’s Court fame. I wasn’t aware he was still around.
Didn’t Peter Mayhew hold the title of tallest man in the UK for a time?
Where were you in '77?
Bill Paxton??? What the hell? Last night I watched the extended cut of Aliens and I was just making fun that he doesn’t age at all, he looks basically the same in Agents of SHIELD (with a few wrinkles of course)
Game over man, game over (not being disrespectful). So gutting about Bill Paxton, what complications during surgery?
Crazy to lose Paxton. I loved him in everything and it seemed like he was a really great person off-camera as well.
Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I was just thinking about him the other day, wondering if he was still around since I watched TCM last.
That’s unfortunate. He was a wealth of information when it came to movies on TCM. He had a great voice.
Ah, thanks for the link Warb. When I see the acronym “TCM”, I read Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I knew the name, but couldn’t place him in the cast.
Sougouk is right. Great voice and delivered great info. His type are a rare breed these dull days.
Yeah, it won’t seem right to watch movies on TCM without his introduction 😦

Well Ben Mankiewicz has been hosting too for awhile now. Osborne’s health hasn’t been so great in the past few years so it’s not a big surprise, but it is still a great loss, indeed.

Walter Cronkite is to Robert Osborne as Ben Mankiewicz is to Brian Williams.

I can’t help but think of Mankiewicz as one of the Young Turks, he is just not in the same class as Osborne.
