Spoiler Speculation:

It’s almost a bit Extremis-y looking? I wonder…

Awesome poster and then they decided to put a stupid black frame around it and then throw in an even more stupid Baby Groot photoshopped floating head.

So far, Baby Groot looks like the worst part of that movie purely because they keep pulling his scenes out to use for marketing because he’s so adorable and cute and hilarious! Look at him doing things that are funny because he’s so little!

It’s some Jar Jar Binks shit.

But without the black frame, how else will you know that it’s in REALD® 3D™ and IMAX® 3D™?

Never in a million years is Baby Groot going to be like Jar Jar.

I absolutely agree. It’s the one thing that makes me nervous about Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Baby Groot was funny at the end of GotG but they are overusing the crap out of the “I’m Groot” line and Baby Groot. It’s actually really frustrating to see such a cool poster tainted by dumbass Baby Groot. Ugh, I can’t believe I just said that about what used to be a charming little guy. Marvel what have you done…

It’s just the trailer though. Some of that might not even be in the finished film. (Remember all those shots in the Rogue One trailers?) At least they aren’t giving away the entire plot line or something.

At least Groot is limited to “I” “Am” and “Groot,” and therefore won’t say anything like “Weesa so bombad” or “Meesa step in da bantha poodoo!” or whatever.

I really hope that it’s just a marketing thing that they’re overblowing in the trailers, but it’s still annoying.

I just get the sneaking suspicion that some exec thought, “Wow, that Baby Groot scene at the end of the first one was a real sleeper hit! Everyone loved it!” then saw the dollar signs and said, “Now, what if he was a baby the WHOLE MOVIE?!”

The poster is literally this:

Read the Dark Horse comics.

Agent Carter Season 1 & 2 are available on Blu-ray disc from Amazon UK. Same goes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3, Daredevil Season 1 and Jessica Jones Season 1.
Anyone who still buys these shows or the feature films on DVD are stupidly supoorting an archaic format.

Frink doesn’t read comics, so that’s a no-go.

Alternatively, they don’t have the funds to make many BD purchases.

Lots of stuff still comes out exclusively on DVD to this day, TV shows especially.

In all fairness to The Mask, they didn’t put Milo the dog on there until it hit home video. He did almost steal the movie though.

Er, The Guardians of the Galaxy is very much James Gunn’s baby. He’s not going to let it be compromised by executive meddling.

This, like the footage used in the Rogue One trailers is all the marketing department’s idea. They know that audiences loved Groot and so they’re emphasizing his character.

They also think the general audience is stupid, so of course they slapped baby Groot on there. “This poster doesnt have any pictures of the characters. How else are those dolts going to know what movie this is for?!?”

All that to say, you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill. 😛

oh and here’s The Extended Superbowl Trailer for anyone that missed it!

BDs are cheap. Just gotta wait for decent prices. I’ve found BD to be more affordable compared to DVD. UHD is another ball I’d rather not get into, except it’s expensive.
Of course I don’t want to pay $28 for Doctor Strange 3D, rather $16 or so on eBay. But Disney are price gougers.

Hell, I own Strange Days on Blu-ray disc and even had to import it from Amazon DE.
