Not sure if the spoiler policy is still in effect so I’ll just drop this here. Someone made an RO poster in the style of TFA’s:

Still in effect. Probably through next month or until the movie is out of theaters.

I like the reflection in Vader’s eye.

No Moroff? 😦

Huh, I always called it the tan-TEEV four.

For those who didn’t watch, they pronounce it TAN-ti-vee four, where the middle syllable is a short “i” sound.

So that’s why Mike Verta pronounces it that way. I always thought he was vocalizing the ‘V’ from ‘IV’, even though that doesn’t make sense either.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

@Tobar, that’s an awesome fan made poster for R1.

Agreed, I think it would feel even better by itself if TFA didn’t have a similar poster as I’ve seen that one way too much.

I hope, with Edwards in the helm, this will be a tasteful and subdued entry in the franchise. Hopefully, though, the characters will not be as uninteresting as in his Godzilla.

Tasteful and subdued: yes!
uninteresting characters: yes!

Sloppy writing, wanky storytelling and bad acting for the most part. It was an ok film but it could’ve been sooo much better. It’s still better than TFA…

Rogue One is redundant. Just play the first mission of DARK FORCES.

Clones can get married to each other? If so then I need to start planning to elope.

EDIT:

In all seriousness I’m glad there’s someone on this board who loves ROTS as much as Mala does.

I could have sworn it was a 7…my mistake but even 6 is high imo

Maybe it was 7. I don’t really remember the grades. Who cares anyway?

Very true. No one should care how much you love that awful movie.

About the only window where they can release it, and not step on the 40th anniversary of the original film, or the build up to TLJ.

Another pointless post about how happy Rogue One made me…

I’ll never forget how ecstatic I was upon seeing Tantive IV and hearing the motif come in after the Imperial March. It feel very genuine and not forced - brought a few tears to my young eyes. I hadn’t read any of the leaks, thus I had no idea that the film would actually end the way it did.

It grows on me the more time passes by - as did TFA. Can’t wait for it come out on Blu-ray.

Yep. People have written that the ending was cheesy, unimaginative, etc etc. But when I saw it in the theater, it brought a smile to my face. Isn’t that the point of this whole enterprise?

And it’s largely a success, a solid, enjoyable film that takes some risks with the Star Wars universe while also remaining, to an extent, on familiar ground. If it’s not a great movie - perhaps not even a great Star Wars movie, but a very good one - it’s because it still relies to some degree on fan service and because it lets down its characters in a fundamental way. But it’s also a fascinating look at this enormously popular and detailed universe from a slightly different angle, its humor is tinged with bitterness and cynicism, and it’s also - as promised by director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) - a war film, even if some of the themes associated with that don’t get anything more than a passing look. Plus it builds to one of the best third acts in the entire franchise, a 40-minute rollercoaster that twists from sheer excitement to grief to victory to hope. - some Den of Geek Reviewer

Whoever this person may be he/she perfectly states my view on Rogue One.
