I wouldn’t recommend the Bible in any format.

You seem to have missed that detail.

I started listening from Genesis even though Jones only reads the New Testament. I thought it would be good to hear the whole thing through with Jones as a reward for sticking to it. I may skip ahead.

Well bully for you.
I recommend the Larry King version.

I was looking for a recording of the Bible to get from Audible. I’m pretty particular about it. I had a hard time finding a translation that I liked with narrating that I liked.
I decided that the YouVersion Bible app was acceptable, given that it has narrators for multiple translations, syncs to the text, and is free.

A case can be made that the English language reached the pinnacle of its evolution in the 19th century.
I recommend the Larry King version.
Thanks Ric.

That sounds like the best one possible.

I keep going through my audiobook covers and updating them. I’ve already said I’m picky about how they look, and I recently redid my cover for Star Wars: Lost Stars.
The official cover is just a pillarboxed version of the book cover.
So I redid it (again). I wasn’t really entirely satisfied with my previous attempt.

I finished Exdous by Leon Euris last night and it was fantastic!!
Finally finished Star Wars: Bloodline. I really enjoyed it. I find that I like Claudia Gray as an author and thus added Leia, Princess of Alderaan, her next book, to my wishlist.

Read the first four chapters. Quite readable, but I’m not yet engrossed. Perhaps I shouldn’t choose to read at the dead of night when I’m dog-tired.
Finished it. Not as cromulent as I remember If Chins Could Kill being, but still good.
★★★★★★★☆☆☆
I am reading MILA 18 by Leon Euris.
Star Trek (2009). It’s really very good, but I get the feeling the novelization is better in audiobook form than in print. Zachary Quinto narrates the story, and the descriptions of certain things use rather… big words I suppose. So it sounds good with a Vulcan reading it, but it might just come across oddly phrased when just on paper.

You weren’t the one reading it though
