Yes, the “network premiere” (ITV, 7:30pm Boxing Day 1987) used the TV “Wally Wick” version.
I remember seeing it again a few years later, post-watershed, and it was the uncut “dickless” version.

Not sure if it’s possible to run Avisynth on a Mac via Wine, but this is easily accomplished using SeparateFields() and Weave().
