Ady: have you ever considered filming yourself as you work (ie a camera looking over your shoulder) and either selling or posting the clips as a teaching tool on how to edit?

Perhaps do live Twitch streaming, this would also be a way to raise funds through subscriptions/ donations.

Oh, this is a GREAT idea. I would absolutely subscribe to this to support adywan at least a little bit.

That tingles all kind of nerd nerves... :p

I don't know if Ady is like this too, but I would be extremely uncomfortable with a camera or person watching over my shoulder while I work. Especially if I knew it was going to elicit a number of, erm, helpful suggestions about my workflow.

1) comments can be closed on youtube and vimeo.

2) it's not about people being a backseat driver... it''s about showing people HOW to do things that Adobe Premiere aren't very user friendly about. A lot of these programs it is just about knowing where the functions are and how to get around the lack of intuitiveness.

So you guys that keep saying it is no surprise about the "take my toys and go home" well maybe you guys are not really fans of what we do anyways, just idiots that like to start shit, I have said that when this started it was a great thing, I had almost ALL our BD's out for everyone and now this is gone, yes it is sad that the shit went down the way it did, but I did get almost ALL our stuff out there and was ready to share more.

Also why in the hell would I want anymore of our releases there now when I cannot even be there, someone please tell me that lol, I already said that uTorrent on my Home connection is a no go, and it is no big secret that I hate Usenet, I will figure something out at some point, I did before I will again, so to those that do like what we do and have some patience I thank you very much, as I have said we only have 1 title ready right now and a second to be ready withing a few weeks so no one is really missing out of anything yet.

1 more thing, I do remember who has helped with things in the past so don't worry about that, there was very, very few of you but I remember who you are.

Thanks and Have a Nice Day!

as I said Ill drop it. I know the truth and thats all that matters to me.

Sorry for the drama... hopefully the TeamBlu releases that are already on Blu-torrent will continue to remain.

Also: if someone has the CONAN 2 blu-ray set and is willing to upload it on BT, would you consider giving it the "100% free" torrent designation too? I am also guessing someone took down the NEVERENDING STORY 2 blu-ray set?

jedi removed some of his uploaded before he was banned. selfish on his part as there where active leechers and seeders on them

Sooo... in other words:

DJ was banned because he started to "take my toys and go home" because he did not want to share Team Blu's work because... he doesn't want it shared publicly? Because why does it matter if he is there or not, if the entire purpose is to share it publicly? I thought the only thing that mattered was:

1) giving credit to the original creators and fan editors, and

2) not selling it as a legitimate product.

It is also nice to see a veiled threat:

1 more thing, I do remember who has helped with things in the past so don't worry about that, there was very, very few of you but I remember who you are.

Like how he remembered how I sent him a 1080p MKV of the European cut of SWAMP THING? I think he received another version with a different MGM-HD watermark (not sure which he used, or if he made a composite), but hey, whatever.

Regardless, this is getting WAAAY too melodramatic over what seems to be a whole lot of nothing. Either you want to share your stuff or you don't. If you can't torrent, RAR file or whatever your file(s), I am sure there are people here that have seed boxes or Uploaded/Mega/etc accounts that DJ or another Team Blu member could send "ONE" plain BD-R without cover art or case art to that can rip it to their hard drive and then seed away.

But hey...:

If you want the focus to be the x-wing, here is an idea:

Being that most critters would flee away from something crashing into their quiet, tranquil swamp life, you should see creature flying away from the x-wing initially. You have the right foreground with a 100% to 90% fog bank, which dissipates to the right (like it was moving from the center of the lake and moving towards us at an angle), which would then reveal the spider slowly/cautiously crawling from the right to the left. The direction of the spider's movement would move towards the X-wing in the distance, as well as inflect a creature that had already hid itself from the X-wing crashing and now cautiously coming out to investigate.

Besides... there is nothing saying that the spider cannot be seen in a later Dagobah scene (if not this particular one). I think if anything, regardless of whether this stays or goes, as a proof of concept it is still quite excellent.

As far as the side shot of R2 right before and during the entry of Dagobah's atmosphere.. yeah, you should probably see the wing behind R2, going by the pictures of one of the movie used models here:

http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/smith_sw.htm

Even so, I can't say it ever bugged me, as the focus is on R2 and we get enough visual information to know that he is in the back of the X-wing. It would still be a neat thing to see though, even for a mock-up (Ronster).

Anyone have a 3D model of the X-wing so you can literally zoom in to recreate the R2 shot?

Is anyone having problems with the Mega file downloading to 100%? I had it stick at 99%, then reloaded it after pausing and restarting would not complete... now it hits 90%, drops to 85%, gets to 95% and drops back down to 85%. I've never seen a downloadable file actually delete partial information like this and get stuck in a perpetual loop...

EDIT: never mind... I used Jdownloader and while it downloaded a lot slower it completed a-okay.

Really looking forward to seeing both of the CONAN THE BARBARIANs (theatrical and european cuts) come up on blu-torrent. I have a friend who's been a fan since CONAN THE BARBARIAN first came out (it was the first R-rated movie his father took him to see) who would love to see these with the new and improved color timing/saturation.

Just so everyone knows, my uploads are also 100% free leech, so you have no excuses now for not being able to get our work, I was told that I will be able to set our torrents to free leech myself soon, things are really looking good now.

I also want to give a HUGE thanks to Vinnie, he has really set me up and is really helping out the Team, very, very cool dude!

So anyone else want to join let me know here in the thread, a few have already gotten in.

Cool. I already have an account, so if I download any TeamBlu releases I will probably keep them on my D:drive on my primary PC, so while my torrent upload speed may drink from the testicles of equine mammals, I will seed for as long as the PC runs and is on my profile.

And THANK YOU for tagging the releases with "TeamBlu". That will make all TB releases easy to find.

For those who have an account, here is the link:

So is there no interest in Nurse Uncensored here lol? this movie was not all that bad.

If blu-torrents had free leech for Christmas, you would probably have a LOT more people leeching and seeding. The problem is that without something like free leech, a 22gb file or greater is going to kill your ratio and then get you kicked off the "invitation only" site.

Also... frankly, the site isn't very well designed. You always get that group of torrents plastered above the results of your search, so short of scrolling down to the bottom of the page a lot of newbies probably won't even realize the file they are looking for are below the permanent movie files occupying the middle of the page.

Then again, it could be worse. I've been selling the french blu-ray of KING KONG (1976) on amazon.com for close to a year. For some reason, whoever is running the maintenance of their website needs to be fired, as they have been screwing around with the search engine to the point where items that match the exact search you type in no longer show up (short of doing a search using the ASIN number). Combine that with a retarded customer service I've had to repeat the same basic explanation as to what is happening at least 6 times (with no effect or solution) and you have to wonder how some of these sites remain active.

I cant see the problem with this. Earth history has plenty of examples of elected monarchs. People seem to have this very fixed idea of how monarchy works based on the British model presumably.

I think it has a lot to do with Kings and Queens being rulers as opposed to elected plebes.

I second the "pick a profession, Padme!" decision.

As far as Yoda is concerned, I developed the impression that he was supposed to be a lot like Pai Mei, in that he did not exile himself to Dagobah so much as he was always there. Maybe not all Jedi would go there, but those seen with great potential would be sent there for the highest level of Jedi training.

Boy, Lucas really screwed things up. (Sigh) Maybe someone could edit the film(s) to reflect this concept.. but it would be extremely difficult and take a lot of craft and imagination... and help with Sony Vegas (among other programs).

This would be the kind of thing where someone would almost have to start from scratch and do a flash animated prequel with a completely new story.

Just watched the new clip... WOW.
Love the pan shot with the side view of the AT-AT (and the AT-ST walking on the left) as well as the new shot from inside the cockpit shooting at the trench line. The continuity with the backgrounds is insanely well done, especially now that if you look outside the side shots of Luke in the snowspeeder cockpit the background has multiple layers of mountains and terrain.

I know how one of the issues (if you could call it that) with the original EMPIRE attack scene was how some scenes were foggy and others showed a clear sky. Even then you had ever changing mountain typography. Now you would never know it wasn't all shot in the same place.

It still just amazes me at what one can do on a home computer.

Song Of The South - many projects, much info & discussion thread (Released)
Time

There is a 1080p wmv on MySpleen now:

Song of the South 16mm 1080p v1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Song of the South - 16mm LUT Scan, 1080p Release (version 1)

Welcome to part 1/3 of our Song of the South Christmas Release!

This is the 16mm scan, performed with an LUT and slightly color corrected.

Format : 1080p WMV ( 4.04 GB)
VIDEO: 1080p downscale from Raw scan
      AUDIO: BBC Television Broadcast

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minor cleanup with some color correction has been done. This print was scanned nearly two years ago,
but for the holiday season we wanted to make it available to the general public. This 16mm scan is rough,
with a fair amount of damage, but we believe it should be just as available as the other prints.

Originally, the small team working on this had considered waiting for cleanup to be completed before release.
However, due in large part to the cleanup coming to a virtual halt (with other scanning projects taking
precedence over a clean-up job) we feel that now is the time.

We will be releasing the Raw data in the future, if anyone is interested.
