Media Brand Differences/Specs......

I was wondering if there is any chance of someone starting a sticky thread with regards to the different types of media brands folks use for projects that would center around pros, cons, best price, and what not to even look at when it comes to captures and/or burning?

I realize everyone has personal preferences based on experience but it would be great to know about the specs that are unique to each brand so that people who may not be fluent in these to make a more informed decision based on the knowledge AND experience of the seasoned users here.

My apologies if this has already been discussed...I used the search function and didn't get any hits.

Cheers!!!!

The most reliable dual-layer discs are Verbatim DVD+R DL, and single layer Taiyo Yuden DVD+R or DVD-R. You should read this.

Other useful resources are the DVD Media List at videohelp.com and the ImgBurn Support Forum.

Thanks Moth3r,

I actually visited the first link before I posted this because I knew that the JVC Tayo Yuden DL's (Premium Grade) I have from Japan rated pretty high and they are #2 in the top 3 on that site.

Thanks for the other links as well....nice to have some extra info.

Cheers
