The fact that Episode VIII has been delayed to December means that there’s room for something else for the 40th anniversary.
I don’t think I’m alone in saying that this would be a really, really good time for a re-release of the original trilogy.
Win all the fans over, get people hyped for the next movie… why not?

The current scan for BTTF is almost certainly 2K (or maybe 1080p).
Thankfully the arrival of Ultra HD Blu-ray means that film studios have an incentive to re-scan their catalog titles in 4K so they can put it out on the new format.
Some companies have even begun to re-release titles on regular ol’ Blu-ray with new 4K transfers. Doubt that’ll happen with BTTF, though.

Judging by your avatar, I assume you’re a Ghibli fan - I bet after doing a project like this, the dubtitles on some of Disney’s Ghibli releases bother you a lot.
