Now that Disney has the reins and seems to want to capitalize on the OT (smart move) then I think they need to do something with this part of the story. A live action movie would certainly be cool but that’s not going to happen - unless they could convince Hamil/Fisher to do a CGI makeover ala Tron.

In the absence of that, I think going full CGI with the original actor’s voices would still be pretty awesome and very doable.
