Idea: Miramax Kung Fu Re-Edits?
Time
In response to whether the Dragon Dynasty version of SPL, which has be retitled as KILLZONE, is cut,
it looks as if its not. Seems they only changed the name of the film, so it bodes well for the rest of the films
this company owns, and they own a hell of a lot. Check the informative review here:

Well, i think currently you cant go wrong with the UK editions being released by HONG KONG LEGENDS.
They do great restoration work, are full of great extras, and as stated above the BEY LOGAN
commentary tracks are great.

I've just picked up the first film from DRAGON DYNASTY which is the Weinsteins new dvd release
company, where they will be releasing all the HK titles they have purchased. The good news is
they hired one of the producers from HONG KONG LEGENDS and they will include audio commentaries
from BEY LOGAN.

Check out KILLZONE from Dragon Dynasty, if you havent already. Originally titled SPL in Hong Kong,
its a great film with Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, and SImon Yam.

Blade Runner HDTV (Released)
Time
The following is from www.thedigitalbits.com

Speaking of Warner, the studio has officially announced the re-release of Blade Runner: The Director's Cut on 9/12 (SRP $19.97). This is a single-disc release (dual-layered), with no new extras, but you'll be pleased to know that the video has been completely remastered with a brand new anamorphic widescreen film transfer. The audio will be Dolby 2.0 Surround, like the original release. Keep in mind that a much more elaborate multi-disc Blade Runner: Ultimate Edition is currently in production for release sometime in 2007 - that is CONFIRMED. This disc is really just designed to update the original Snapper case release (one of Warner's first EVER releases on DVD back in 1997) with better video in the meantime.

p.s. i sat in on the digitalbits panel at the recent San Diego Comicon, and they guy who is gonna make the ULTIMATE Edition
was there, and he is a HUGE fan, so expect a great ultimate dvd release.
