I'd rather they made the best transfer they could and left the 'fixes' for the people here. There were matte lines when I first saw it at the cinema, so there ought to be now. It would be easier for some of the talented people here to fix it later, than put them back in! So long as they include enough high quality bonus materials for people to reinsert whichever crawl they like then it'll be good.

Oh, what news!

For me Star Wars always wasn't only the story. It was also the created models built together and filmed them in stop motion or the aliens and the art they were made. Soon I can watch these "handmade" (no modern computer-animatic-trash etc.). Only these "handmade" films are the real Star Wars films to me.

Same sentiment here. It's probably one of the reason's I love Star Wars so much. One of the last great non-CGI blockbusters. There's been a lot of good sci-fi films since, but they don't inspire the same awe when you look at the computer technology we have around now. You only have to look at IMPS to see what a few people can do with a few computers.

One question I haven't seen answered. Is it going to be a worldwide release in September, or US only?

Star Wars DVD Covers

I'm an idiot. There, I said it. With that being said, I need some help. Everytime I try to print out a DVD Cover it is too small. The height works fine but the length is just too short. This is even after I change the settings. I'm assuming there is some small thing I can do that I'm not. Can anyone help me? Also, I have a Dell computer and printer if that helps.

If you still have problems, try googling for a program called CoverXP. It's a handy little program that will let you print sleeves to the right size for DVD cases, irrespective of the original images dimensions or resolutions.

DVD9 is not always necessary, and is simply too expensive for general use.

Maybe for general use. But the burners are very cheap now and the discs will come down in price, just as DVD5 discs, and CDRs before them. have.

All the time there are people here who will spend a few hundred dollars on a new LD player for any improvement in quality, no matter how slight, I'm sure there will be people who will pay the extra couple of dollars for a blank DL disc.

Personally I'm happy with DVD5, but if you're striving for the best possible it seems a bit silly to stop just short of what's possible.

What web browser are you using?

I use Firefox which automatically scales individual images to fit the screen if I right click them and select 'view image'.

Maybe your browser has something similar... otherwise I highly recommend Firefox

I sat down with more 4 year old and half way through she kept pestering me to watch Thumb Wars! Oops.
