Just came across this forum. I have read through most of the different versions available. I currently own the CCs versions which were pretty good.
But now in the advent of HD, would like to see these on blu ray without any compression from the above mentioned german hdtv broadcast.
Maybe another idea is to have an optional PCM track on the blu ray. I found the 2 channel DD track derived from a PCM track from what i recall on CCs version to be superior. This was more notable on ROTJ.
I am after a version which will have no compression artifacts, best picture and sound possible. I also like the color correction that has been done, i did not really notice the DVDs having a blue tinge and just accepted it, but the screenshots i have been seeing give it a more film like look.
How can i obtain this if it is available?
