Spider-Man 3...No Symbiote, Less Ego and Uncertainty
Time

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

-Spider-Man 3 titles play

-New intro scene: Crooks raid Bank, Spidey catches them in a giant web

-Peter’s opening narration partially cut (this is to avoid repeating shots of the web swinging since they’re all used for the final swing later)

-After Peter refers to MJ as the ‘girl of his dreams’, we cut to MJ’s apartment where she is confronted by Harry

-Peter and Aunt May’s conversation happens, moved Sandman and Police department scenes to just after this

-Moved Peter and Harry’s first fight to later in the film

-Moved Mary Jane’s opening night to after Flint’s accident

-Removed references to the Crane in Peter and MJ’s talk at Peter’s apartment

-Daily Bugle scene trimmed, now ends with Peter joking to Brock he climbed a flagpole to get the pictures

-Removed parade and Peter and Gwen kiss

-Dinner scene with Peter and MJ scaled back considerably, less ego-fuelled grandstanding from Peter and MJ is more upset about Gwen and her own insecurities

-Removed the symbiote bonding with Peter as he sleeps in his costume

-Peter telling May he can’t put a wife before himself is moved to just after Peter drives MJ away when she visits him to talk about Flint

-The black costume is now just another suit Peter wears, it’s origin is unknown, but Spidey makes new suits for himself all the time in the comics

-Mary Jane’s decision to call Harry and hook up with him has been cut, instead she calls Peter and meets him at the park. At Harry’s prompting, she tells Peter what he’s been doing with her, sending Peter into a rage.

-Peter and Harry’s conversation at the diner is cut, except for the part where Peter sees Harry in the window and Harry winks at Peter

-Inserted shot of Spider-Man perched at the cathedral before he goes to confront Harry

-Peter confronts Harry at the Osborn mansion, Harry referring to Peter as “Mr. Key to the City” is cut

-Moved Peter and Ditkovitch arguing and making up to after the Harry confrontation. Peter ditches the black suit and tries to call MJ.

-Moved Harry using the goblin serum to just after Harry, now scarred, wanders around his mansion, Norman’s serum ‘rejuvenates’ him and heals his scarring.

-Norman telling Harry he’s ‘taken his eye off the ball’ (wasting his time manipulating MJ), and to get back to avenging him. All shots of Harry’s accident from earlier and him in the hospital during Harry’s ‘recollections’ have been cut

-Mary Jane calls Peter, asks him to meet up with her. She wants to put things right. Peter meets up with MJ at the club, they reconcile, and dance, then go to the park and make out in the giant web

-Harry’s first fight with Peter in the movie moved to just after the scene in the park, it is now their final confrontation.

-Sandman takes people hostage attempting to get money for his sick daughter. Fight between him and Spidey is quite short due to Venom and Harry being absent from the fight, but it still allows Peter to have closure with Flint. Some footage from “Godzilla (1998)” used here

-Harry’s recovery in hospital moved to just after Peter and Sandman’s conversation

-Peter and Harry spend some quality time at the mansion

-Spider-Man saves Gwen Stacy from the rogue crane

-Peter meets Stan Lee

-Final swing

Spider-Man 3...No Symbiote, Less Ego and Uncertainty
Time

Been working on a Spider-Man 3 rebuild lately, the goal being to reduce less of Peter’s egomania about being Spider-Man, now the tensions with Mary Jane come from basic misunderstandings and MJ’s own feelings of insecurity that Peter becomes increasingly aware of in a more natural way.

The other major difference now is that there is NO symbiote or Venom. Sandman and Harry are the only antagonists, I scale back on Harry quite a bit in this edit, the amnesia angle now doesn’t kick in until the very end of the movie, I save him for ‘big’ moments such as forcing Mary Jane to kiss him

Peter reconciles with MJ in a more romantic way, not the heart-wrenching ‘last dance’ where you weren’t sure if they were together or just friends (at least until No Way Home put that to bed), hence ‘less uncertainty’

Lastly, I decided to end the movie with Peter saving Gwen from the rogue Crane, we cut to credits after Peter bumps into Stan Lee.

Still in the midst of working out where goes what, I’ll post updates as I go.

Going to drive the usual suspects crazy because it hasn’t been cancelled except claims to the contrary. I love it.

It’s dead in the minds of the public

Funny how every fans loves Sarah Jane yet fail to truly honour those words put into her mouth

These fans need to obsess over something else.

Power Rangers Hexagon (2025 Edition)
Time

This is my latest attempt at a series of edits based around the Power Rangers Hexagon concept, this time I’m sticking closer to Amit Bhumik’s notes for the pitch as I reasonably can and building the series with many episodes of Power Rangers Ninja Storm as the skeleton, as Bhumik had intended them to be the group the planned Hexagon season would largely focus on.

The concept of Hexagon revolves around a high-tech organization run by Tommy Oliver and Billy Cranston, Tommy and Billy use the Hexagon, under the guise of Cranston industries, as a front to enroll and mentor new teenagers to become future Rangers. Along the way, various alien factions working either for themselves, the armada, or Robo Rita, are determined to conquer the Earth and it is up to a new band of heroes, the Wind Academy Ninja Rangers, to assist the other worldwide Ranger groups in their efforts to combat the Armada, little knowing there is treachery afoot…

First episode is currently available.

Pokemon 2000- The Climactic Cut
Time

A few years ago I fan-edited the last act of the movie Pokemon 2000 (“Power of One”) into a TV-length episode. Now I have approached the edit again and am turning it back into a feature, making use of other episodes from the Pokemon series to give it a more conclusive feel.

What I did to make Pokemon 2000 more of a climax was take a fraction of the closing arc of the Silver Conference (the battle with Gary) and place it at the start of the movie, and with some editing, have Ash come across as the winner of the Johto tournament rather than just a qualifier for the finals. Then, after he and Gary make up and part ways, I used footage from exactly two seasons earlier (“A Tent Situation”)

I left the movie largely alone after that, up until the very end, where I use A.I to have Ash finally return Misty’s feelings, and from there use the unused Mewtwo Strikes Back trailer footage animation to indicate Misty has a daughter in the future with Ash with Westlife playing. To avoid a repeat of Westlife’s performance in the end credits, I used the last few minutes of the Mewtwo Strikes Back ending credits as a substitute.

Edit is currently going through test renders, but I’m pretty happy with it so far.

Doctor Who: The Six Doctors
Time

When Doctor Who returned from it’s 18-month hiatus in 1986, it came in the form of the 14 part serial Trial of a Time Lord, a story all about The Doctor being tried for interfering in the affairs of other peoples and planets, with his very survival at stake. It also provided meta commentary for how the programme was being tried in itself by the BBC.

Colin Baker was sacked shortly after this series transmitted. He had been offered a four parter at the top of the 1987 series to take his bow, but he refused, leading to his successor Sylvester McCoy to stand in for him with a wig attached and plenty of VFX hocus-pocus smoke’n’mirrors providing a regeneration.

Now…let’s explore an alternative universe where Colin did accept a four-part send-off…what exactly would it resemble?

Suppose also, that, due to budget cuts, the BBC could not celebrate Doctor Who’s twentieth anniversary with The Five Doctors at the time…but in order to give Colin’s last story a major boost, they commissioned a multi-Doctor reunion story to encircle and support Colin on his way out!

Yes, this edit is a mix of The Five Doctors and The Trial of a Time Lord. With whole scenes repurposed, there’s a new parallel narrative with twists, turns, red herrings, this edit will keep you guessing right 'till the very end!

All four parts will be released across four consecutive weeks in the month of December, with part four dropping on Christmas Day!

Schedule

Part One…December 4th
Part Two…December 11th
Part Three…December 18th
Part Four…December 25th

Doctor Who: Destination Skaro: The Serious Cut
Time

Yeah, what can you do with something as short as this? Both a little, and a lot surprisingly.

As the title suggests, this is a version of the minisode that aired as part of Children In Need night 2023 around the time of Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary. The minisode drew the ire of a lot of fans mostly for it’s controversies with Davros and the reasons behind it, but that aside, it was riddled with bad and unfunny puns. I can see what they were trying to do but they leaned too far into farce…luckily there’s just enough material here to salvage the special into something resembling ‘proper’ Doctor Who.

I borrowed a couple of other fan edits from Youtube to help with the presentation, mostly just the opening titles and ‘next time’ for Star Beast, but other than that every other cut is mine.

Removed

-Castavlillian’s ‘Kaled Anagram’ pitches

-Any time Castavillian makes a note of things that are eventually attributed to the Daleks (except for The Doctor naming them)

-The Doctor does not supply Castavillian with the Dalek plunger, he just leaves, the idea is that the plunger is entirely Castavillian’s own idea.

TMNT '93
Time

In December 1993, the season finale of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Seventh season ‘Shredder Triumphant’ aired.
It would prove to be the final episode to feature the traditional Fred Wolf Animation Look and Feel that had become the benchmarks of the franchise.

In 1994, the ‘Red Sky’ era would commence, bringing with it a new tone and scope to the show, giving the Turtles more of a harder-edged attitude.

The days of the happy go lucky Fred Wolf era were to take a permanent back seat.

Until now.

Several decades later, we wind the clock back, before the skies ever turned red, and we ask the question, ‘did they ever have to at all?’
What if the eighth season of the Fred Wolf cartoon had retained the same look, feel, and charm of the first seven seasons?

NOW…THE STORY CONTINUES

Picking up exactly where ‘Shredder Triumphant’ left off, Krang, Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop on the run. Krang still has his android body and all of its might. Shredder has his cunning, and Bebop and Rocksteady have their strength.

And as for the Turtles? They still have their wits, their quips, and their passion for Pizza.

New adventures, new ingredients, this is TMNT ‘93!

Taking a leaf out of Transformers Fanatic Films’ book for their unofficial Transformers G1 continuation, I am recycling footage from across the span of the original TMNT series to bring it to life with the aid of an A.I assisted voice cast.

My experiences with Elevenlabs are proving more creatively rewarding, especially when I add my own editing skills into the mix. Having re-edited several episodes of Captain Planet utilising A,.I, I have grown even more ambitious.

I am happy to announce that preview samples will be available through my profile on Spoutible.

First two episodes (of a planned trilogy) are available now.

Episode 1 is about 15 minutes, episode 2 is a lot shorter at just six.

Star Wars Episode III-The Triumph of Skywalker
Time

Right, so in an update to this, I’ve had a few exciting new ideas, but I’m half-way through my current draft and to implement them would mean ditching what I have, so I may just make two versions and then determine through test audiences which is better.

In the meantime, the last scene of the first draft is more or less complete, so if anyone would like to preview that bit and give it feedback, feel free to PM me.

Just remember, it’s only the ending, not the full film, and it’s very brief, most of it is taken up by the credits

Star Wars Episode III-The Triumph of Skywalker
Time

…I guess the silence on the matter means that sort of thing hasn’t happened yet?

Anyway, here’s what I intend for my opening text crawl:

As the battle against the SEPERATIST movement rages on, the fearless JEDI KNIGHTS of the REPUBLIC contend with the rise of a new threat to the REPUBLIC…

With COUNT DOOKU missing in action, GENERAL GRIEVOUS has taken command of the separatist armies and begun a dangerous advance on the galaxy…

As the dream of lasting peace slips further and further away, for one troubled Jedi padawan, ANAKIN SKYWALKER, it all too easily manifests into a nightmare…

This sounds incredibly interesting. I’m excited to hear more details on the restructure. Like does Anakin follow the council into hiding or does he remain at Palpatine’s side, “staying loyal to the republic” until he changes his mind about Palpatine? In any case, the project sounds fascinating.

Thanks for the interest, it is quite a herculean task, and one I didn’t think was possible until I rewatched Episode III over the weekend and saw promise in the idea

In the first few test drafts, Anakin doesn’t go through much temptation, but it felt like there was no conflict and it could easily have been a day in the life for him and Obi-Wan rather than something more climatic that spoke to Anakin’s indecisiveness and morality, so in later drafts he’s tempted more and he goes through more trials, I don’t want to say too much just yet because I have to be certain some sequences work the way I’m theorizing,

I’ve tested something out that I thought for sure would need tweaking in the the first act though and that worked very well, so with luck what I’m building next for this matches my decades old memory.
