Time

althor1138 said:

I'm getting myself one for christmas.  I have about 2-3 minutes of sw on 35mm that I want to scan.  I have a galaxy s2+ and a program that can take png's.  If it works I'll post some shots.

Sounds good! What film ? Please post any examples

And in response   Feallan . Yeah i did a couple of years back , its owned by a friend in London, but we are hesitant as we are concerned about the legality of it.

Greetings Captain Solo

I have access to some 35mm star wars reels and want to make test scanning of them, i do not have access to expensive scanning equipment .

I wonder if anyone has tried converting one of these to scan 35mm film, i mean considering the speed at which a phone takes photos; it might be viable to prepare some tests. I have the S4 which has an outstanding camera.

Help Wanted: for a Frank Sinatra track - a Very, Very Rare Recording...
Time

This is really for die hard fans

Hello

This concerns some audio i have that needs cleaning up

a friend of mine has access to the reprise library tapes

I have a recording of a song that is very rare and for fear of being tracked down by the copyright owners ETC i dont want to say to much at the moment.

I tried to clean it up but i am not an audio expert.

This is an appeal to anyone who has real skill at this thing, its in a very bad state.

basically this song has been sought over for YEARS, and if this could be restored it would be posted to you tube for public attention hopeful fro there it would spread.

Making our own 35mm preservation--my crazy proposal

Hello, i have a friend of mine who has came into a 35mm print of return of the jedi SE, he has made some test scans that are misaligned and roughly done and this seems like the place to go.  It is insane to scan all the reels in and would take years if done manually , i am looking for some help on the issue.

here are some tests that are cropped and misaligned also a gif combining them () the anamorphic sqeeze is very rough )
