Oh cool! It’s not a big change but certainly one that should be preserved. If you look into how much it would cost to clean and scan that reel I might just have to help fund it 😃
Ah gotcha. Do you know which section of the movie it is? Hopefully one that has the changes.
I own one of the original AOTC 35 mm film reels, so if I get in touch with one of my local theaters, I’ll do a capture for you guys to find the differences.

I had extra time today so I made a box set for the Blu rays. It’s almost exactly like the 97 vhs box set!
Just PM’d. Im glad this is being done! There is a 35mm scan of this being done so it could be used for reference for the subtitle timing and could be used to restore the shots only found on VHS/Laserdisc (i.e. removing the bridge and replacing the Twileks in the Senate scene)
jedit: Also for the shots that you used the blu ray footage, did you recrop the frame to match the HDTV? (the frame of the blu ray shows about 9% more)

I’m not involved in this at all but last update was that the scanner got fixed and this should be done within 2 weeks…it’s been about 4 weeks now but I’m sure there should be an update soon.

Nope. My VHS tape was pretty different from the cam bootleg I have, I listed the differences above

Scanner has been repaired, and ANH SE will hopefully be completed in the next two weeks, will then move onto TPM.

Hey guys, this is my first time posting some artwork I did and I hope you all enjoy them! When the 35mm scans actually get released I’ll replace the screenshots with actual stills from the 35mm films. I’m also going to do something similar for The Phantom Menace 35mm as that’s what I’m most excited for!

I thought the same thing! Yeah right now they’re basically the images used on the vhs boxes. I’m not too sure how I feel on the disc being a 35mm reel, can I get your thoughts on that?

Ah I gotcha. I figured I wouldn’t add some of those elements at the bottom as they’re already there on the front since I used the theatrical poster.

Hey guys I made Blu Ray cover and disc art for SW 97 in anticipation for this project!

These are amazing! I can’t thank you enough! I’m bad at editing these kind of things but on the Rogue One back, it says “A Rebellion BUILD on Hope” instead of BUILT. Could you fix that for me? It bothers me more than it should lol.
