I feel the same as you, but I understand why the characters look the same for the most part. It’s because the whole trilogy takes place within the span of about a year, so there’s not a whole lot of in-universe time for the characters to change their looks drastically.

These are really clean looking! I like these better than all of the covers I made!

Sounds great! Were you able to make use of the 35mm strip I got to you?

This is just my take on the direction of this movie, but I think they try to make it look dull and desaturated because its during the reign of the Empire. But I could be wrong 😃

Just checked it out. Absolutely wonderful job, the color balance you chose perfectly fits the tone of the movie! Can’t wait until the full thing is done!

I just did a trilogy cover and disc labels for 4K77, 4K80, and 4K83 using only artwork from the 2006 official DVD release that I scanned. I’m open to critiques!

I just burned 4K77 and 4K83 to blu ray and wanted to add the GOUT artwork to it but I’m having trouble finding the correct images on google. ROTJ was easy to find but I cannot find the art used on the discs for ANH and ESB.

Just curious, are the 16mm scans going to be released?

Is there any way to get the full workprint from anywhere? I’d love to be able to get it and put it on the Spleen there’s no reason for the workprint to be so rare!

Here’s the timecodes for the changes that would be needed to be scanned if you chose to do so:

01:19:14 frame 6 - shot of Qui-Gon’s “much more complicated” line and wipe transition to a shot of Palpatine’s quarters
01:25:40 frame 17 - Orn Free Ta’s human aides
01:33:26 frame 11 - hyperspace jump and the wipe to the Theed palace

It all could be on reel 4 and 5 or just 5. Hope this helped and hope that you’re feeling better!

I actually think they would be valuable because the footage from the 35mm can be combined with the existing SD footage to make it blend in way better with the HD footage in a reconstruction.

Yeah I think it looks near perfect. Even looking at the spacing of the letters it looks dead on!

Here’s an example of the font I found compared to the Z bootleg (provided by Bobson). It seems to be in the right font family if it’s not the correct one, but IMHO it seems to be close enough for the time being.
