Does anyone have the blu-ray deleted scenes extracted cleanly? The ones I've extracted have had audio problems and visual stepping problems. I'm on a Mac with a Blu-Ray Player/Burner using MakeMKV, but the movie files aren't working out as smoothly as I'd hoped. I was hoping to put together for myself an SLV version (excluding the Kirk walk since it's not included) from the TMP blu-ray. Thanks.

It's now 6 days later and I'm now up to 99.88% – 6 days to get less than 10%?! Seed the link, please - in the last 2 hours, I've given 2 people more than 15%! I'm trying to be generous so that what they get can come back to me (seeing that the files spread around). Be generous. I'm now to the point that loading for almost 2 weeks straight is probably going to cause me problems with my internet provider.

Hey, what's the deal with the torrent unfairness, guys? I've been downloading for days now and just have 90% and have been allowing uploads. Very few people are allowing uploads (I can see it in my Transmission info). Be fair, let everyone get this and not just take it on your own. For example, today I've downloaded about 20MB only total and 4-6 people have been getting a constant upload from me. Seed the link people, please.

Transmission just creates a new folder when I start another download - I don't believe it can add to an existing download. I guess I'm starting over. I still have the initial download and I've burned an 8.5GB dvd - it's faulty, but I'm going to see if I can extract it  with Handbrake just to see what's up.

Thanks for the attempt at info, though.

I'm on a Mac and I'm using Transmission to download the torrent. I came home from work late tonight to see that there is an error with a file and checking these posts I see that a change has been made. My download was at about 75% so I'm saddened to see I have to start over after 2 days of downloading (I don't have a paid Demonoid account) and I've seeded 66% of my 75%. Start all over???

In response to an earlier post's instruction of:

"Load the new torrent file, point it at the drive, or folder, where "\Star-Trek" is, and let it verify existing files.

(In Bit-Tornado it's "verify existing files". Other software might say something else, or need you to use a slightly different method. That's why I say to copy the files, so there's a backup, until you get it to work).

In Transmission I don't see how to do this. Help? Thanks.

"I'm not sure what I think about it at this point, so I figured I'd post it and get reactions from you guys.  But this is what I have so far, cover-wise."

I recommend not using an image from the original series Enterprise and not using the Star Trek III stand-off image between the Enterprise and the Klingon Bird of Prey - keep on Motion Picture images, please.

Hello all:

I have a pretty good resolution image of the motion picture Enterprise, an image I scanned and cleaned up from the CMYK side of the 3-D poster from back when - I'm just trying to figure out how to post it. Is there a way to link to my desktop and upload to this site? Thanks.

Oso Blanco and I were referring to modifying the dvd creation to provide an aspect-correct viewing of the dvd on any player and tv, computer or otherwise. My dvd player and tv both do not have that modify-ability. My tv has 4 zoom aspects, none of which accomplishes the task properly.

Thanks Oso for bringing up the issue of anamorphic - it forced me to discover a Mac option and it has worked beautifully on all of my players.

Fanfiltration rocks!

I agree that the image itself is anamorphic and that the screen ratio has to be modified. As Oso Blanco indicates, the IFO file ratio has to be changed. I know most of you are on a PC, but if you're on a Mac, an IFO editor for Mac is myDVDedit with the url http://www.mydvdedit.com and a tutorial on how to modify to 16:9 is on this page http://www.mydvdedit.com/viewtutorial.php?t=27e&pg=forum

THANK YOU FANFILTRATION - FANTASTIC WORK!

Hi FanFiltration:

Thanks for your reply. I also just noticed that you've edited the first post (Last edited on January 29, 2009 at 2:03 PM by FanFiltration). I didn't realize that you may have updated that info over time and had been wondering if you had adjusted your various source material through the time of your working on this project as a result of the various posts indicating sources that they had.

As an example, the 1280x544 theatrical version file (I found) encoded down and burned to DVD on Toast in a single process (I'm on a Mac), the resulting DVD is notably sharper in image quality than the retail Director's Edition DVD. Finding that, I was just wondering if you had modified your process.

Wasn't trying to look/sound like an idiot with my questions.

Thanks again for all of your efforts - I know how difficult and time consuming it all has been. I'm in the midst of re-editing Serenity to include all of the deleted scenes as an extended version. I was hoping it would be a drop-in-place and move on process. Nope. Modify this, modify that. Tedium.

Thank you again for doing this.

Hi FanFiltration:

Did you use any or all of the 8GB HD file of the theatrical version another post mentioned having earlier on in this thread? Or is it a collection of many sources from the vhs's, laserdiscs, Director's Edition DVDs, television broadcasts, etc. Please elaborate on your source material, screen ratios and resolution. Thanks again for all of your efforts. I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

Someone mentioned having an hour-long version in Super 8mm. I had that, too. What a crackup! Yes, we are all overly and overtly nerds, but it sure is a blast!
