Fantastic work as always, boss! Given the original picture quality, I think this pass is about as much quality as you can possibly squeeze out of those frames. That must have been a ton of work to get the settings right!
I’m not familiar with the extra laser sword footage. How many extra shots of Duel of the Fates are there? And do you reckon any of them in particular are worth re-inserting?

I know this a long shot but ID and I were talking earlier today and he wondered if anyone had saved the trailers? He lost them years ago due to a computer failure and would like to see them again. I still have everything from that time except the trailers. Not sure how I never saved them in their finished format but I was young then. LOL

How are you guys getting hybrid to work on the mac? The author quit supporting mac two years ago. I tried it but it crashes on startup. I’m running the latest macos.

Title says it all. I’m not even sure where to start. I’ve been doing this for years on a windows pc but without virtualdub and eac3to.exe I’m kinda lost on how to get a .mkv into a working file format for Final Cut Pro. Is it possible or should I just install a windows VM and convert with that?

Wow. Haven't thought about this for a long time. I do miss it sometimes but I don't even have a pc I could edit anything on anymore. Although I do still have all the vegas project files and rough cuts from reborn on a hard drive boxed up in the closet. :)

Thats the cut I wish everyone could have seen. It was full of radical ideas and some of them were incredible.
Anyway, congrats A-Man! I wish I could say I'll check it out sometime, but we moved to the country a few months ago and the only Internet connection we have is my phone. :)

Not much editing for me anymore. I used to add deleted scenes back in just for fun but I don't really do that anymore since everything I watch is on bluray now. I've messed around with ripping and converting bluray's to edit in vegas but it's so difficult to work with 1080p files and most of the deleted scenes aren't finished anyway.
Unfortunately I'm not the creative one. I was good for ID to bounce ideas off of but not very good at coming up with them on my own.
I do hope if my personal life ever calms down (divorce sucks) that I could do some little things. I have really enjoyed the few things I've done over the years and wish I had the time to learn to do more.
Yes it was. ID's latest cut of the first hour which he did over a year ago now was truly amazing and unique. Sadly enough I don't think anyone ever saw that.
ID unfortunately has retired from fan editing. :(

Not to derail the thread to much, but ID dropped the Crystal Skull edit completely. ID's biggest problem is he hates the technology behind everything. He's very creative and comes up with brilliant ideas at times, but gets very frustrated trying to get everything to work correctly. He's not a tech geek like me. :)

I still have most of the starkiller ranch stuff on my hard drive. Including the cuts of Episode I we worked on. :)

Infodroid has never seen this unfortunately. I actually met Info for breakfast the other day as he was vacationing close to these parts. We talked a little about the "old days" the Ranch, Reborn, etc.... Sadly enough he has no plans on revisiting any of that soon. I don't think we will ever see him edit anything again. :(
