Well, (Lucas speaking mode:) even in the original trilogy there is an echo of that "rule of two", when Vader asks Luke to join him so they can destroy the Emperor and rule the galaxie as father and son. Vader knows that once Luke is converted to the dark side, the Emperor will not need him anymore.

It's fine that there is such a rule but is there a reason it has to be spoken?

Welcome, welcome!  Thanks for your suggestions.  We had a discussion about the Cloud City shot you mentioned.  I believe changes are definitely going to be made there, at the very least stop the reflection from going through the characters!

RotJ is too far off to start discussions, but there is talk on the Wishlist if you want to check that out.

Thanks for the welcome and the link.  I've posted a few comments over there.  :)

I recently joined the forum and have a few comments.

1.) I agree with removing the two burps.

2.) Restore the original Jabba dance/singing scene

3.) Put Han's original line back in: "Trust me!"

4.) When Vader tells the Emperor Luke is on Endor with the revels the Emperor says it's strange he hadn't sensed him.  Yet a few lines later he tells Vader to go down and wait for Luke because he will go to him.  He knows this because he'd foreseen it.  It's always seemed like a contradiction to me.  One of these lines needs to be removed.

5.) I like the idea of Vader's line being changed to "Your mother..." because the conversation between Luke and Leia doesn't make sense now in relation to the prequels.  Leia should have no memory of her mother.

6.) I like the SE ending better than the original.

7.) I don't mind Hayden either.

8.) I like the suggestion of Luke's eyes turning Sithy (for lack of a better word) briefly as he attacks Vader.

9.) And I'm torn about the suggestion of the Falcon being destroyed.  I like it because it's not a complete victory but the problem I have is it never happened according to later books.  I do realize Adywan is ignoring the EU though.

I recently stumbled upon the Revisited version of SW after becoming obsessed with finding a fan edit of the prequels.  (I found a terrific version by Slumberland, but I degress.)

I've gone through all the posts so I hope I'm not making requests already made or planned.  There are a lot of pages here and I may have missed something.

Anyhow, my only two requests for ESB: 1.) On Hoth there is a shot of one of the walkers falling to the ground and blowing up.  In the background there is another walker and it's head is the only thing that moves.  I'd like to see have a little more movement or be removed as it's quite distracting.  2.) In Cloud City there is a low angle shot in the SE where the newly added orange sky is coming through windows and is relfected on the floor.  It looks terrible.  If at all possible it would be nice to see this fixed.

Like DarthRayne, and I'm sure many others here, I greatly appreciated what Adywan has done with ANH.  It's the best version of the film to date.

Finally, I know RotJ is planned next.  Adywan has mentioned he thinks it will take more work than ANH.  Any word on what changes are being planned?  (I know it's a bit early.)  Is there a thread I missed that goes delves into this?

Does anyone still have these?  I'm at various stages of completion yet all have stalled: TPM is at 97%, ATOC is at 74% and ROTS is at 76%.  I'd really like to check these out!
