Wow, we're all worse than child molesters!

And you thought the "raped my childhood" hyperbole was bad.

I'm sorry, this girl sounds like a moron and if she's getting grief on Twitter, she probably deserves it.

I'm as pissed off about these new changes as anybody, but Katie's obviously joking... She's (mis)quoting a comical moment from Firefly and adding in her own bit...

Some new videos posted on the star wars youtube channel with footage for all 3 of the OT but the footage is in German. Got to say that the cyan tint looks to have gone from Hoth

EPISODE 4

EPISODE 5

EPISODE 6

Does the fact that the German subtitles for Jabba's dialogue are white text in a black box mean we're finally getting burned-in subtitles that the other language options have to cover, or is that just how they like to do things over there?

recast the prequels
Time

This isn't really a recasting suggestion, as I think the prequels were pretty competently cast, but more of a gripe. Wayne Pygram, based on his portrayal of Scorpius in Farscape, was absolutely perfect for young Tarkin, and he was actually cast as Tarkin, and appears in the movie... for like ten seconds. I would have LOVED to see an expanded role for Tarkin, maybe something akin to Admiral Yularen in The Clone Wars, just with a more sinister edge.

Preserving the...cringe...Star Wars Holiday Special (Released)
Time
I've got picutres of the Chewbacca family prototype toys, but thank you very much for the picture of Steve Binder, crazyrabbits. SKot, I found a few of those things (the videos and a few of the pictures) on your website. I hope you don't mind, I was going to put the web adress in the credits. I have not contacted you in the past, and I think it would be awesome to have other people working on it as well, I had no idea there was any interest. About the deleted scene, the inormation simply said that it was going to be a part of the Nelvana cartoon. As far as I can tell from the version I downloaded, for the dialogue they recorded a guy singing "hot water used for laundering - less than a load of dirty things - HORRIBLE HABITS! - yeah, don't scoff, 'cause wasting electricity turns people...off" and reversed it. Is this correct or is there a different story?

Preserving the...cringe...Star Wars Holiday Special (Released)
Time
Hi, I'm a lurker here, and now that I've finally come up with an interesting project I need a bit of help. I'm working on a documentary about the Holiday Special, from conception to production to today. I've managed to find production stills, concept art, all the clips I need, all the information I need, an animated deleted scene, the tv-land clip, fighting the frizzies, and a fox news clip. What I'd like from you guys is anything (info, pictures, video) that absolutely must be included in the documentary, or some behind the scenes footage, though I doubt any exists. I especially need a photo of Steve Binder, I've looked everywhere and can't find one. Please post what you have here if appropriate or e-mail anything to me at llamamanz57 AT yahoo DOT com. Thanks in advance.

And this has bothered me since day 1, if they made Jabba CGI for ANH why did you not at the very least FIX his busted eye in ROTJ Spec. Ed.

I completely agree with this. Both Jabba's sucked, but the 1997 Jabba looked more like the rubber original, and the eyelines match much better. If you haven't noticed this already, go watch the 2004 sequence. Han is always looking at Jabba's chin or stomach.
