Any chance you could update this fan-edit using 4K83 as a base? This is the best ROTJ fan-edit, but the video quality holds it back. A 4K ROTJ remastered would honestly become my definitive edition of the movie!

Hey KK650 since TLJ is the first Star Wars film to be released on 4K, can we get a 4K master on your eventual V3 release?
Glad I’m not the only person who thought of Adywan when watching this! They say the full sequence will be released next year, but even with this teaser footage, someone has already edited it into the original scene.

As rough as this currently is, the energy and pacing of this new scene is a massive improvement. Also, if the new footage was regraded to match the original scene, it would feel that much more seamless.
Regardless, even if Adywan decides to leave this out of ANH:R HD, I’m sure someone will combine the two… it’s a match made in heaven.
EDIT: Statement from the creator: “I don’t want to give too much away but our hope is that it can just be dropped right into the movie seamlessly!” … very promising indeed…
