Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

W-O-W!!!!

I do LIKE your voice AND I absolutely LOVED the "featurette".

Your diction is clear, I had no trouble at all understanding you, and I'm brazilian!

The only room for improvement IMHO would be the "DESPECIALIZED" title treatment.  It is a bit too simple/crude when compared to the overall utterly professional work you've done.

IMHO, the "Despecialized Edition" logo that appears on 10m55s is a lot better, for example.

Also, I hope it's not too late to mention, but I've noticed a "shake" in the position of the red turbine of the x-wing fighter on the left side, at 8m19s aprox.

Hi Harmy,

How are you?  I'd like to know, if possible, what software and settings you've used to upscale GOUT to match the HD source.  I'm recording from brazillian TV a mini-series, but I've lost one episode due to power failure :(

I've found the episode on Dailymotion (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xyotc5_as-noivas-de-copacabana-capitulo-08_creation?search_algo=2#.UWS-OFeybqQ) but its low res compared to the material I've already recorded, thus the question.

Many thanks for any help! :)

Hi everyone,

Regarding the above screenshots, personally I think the despecialized one looks better than the slightly brightened up, because skin tones are more natural, Luke's robe is white and C3PO color also looks better (more golden than yellow).

Oh, I don't know if it's worth mentioning, but since this is the purpose of the workprint after all (to evaluate progress), I've noticed some things in the reel 3 (the only one I've downloaded so far):

1) Sound seems a little bit distorted, as if volume was a tad too high, but this can be due to mp4 compression or my codecs/player fault (I use MPC-HC);

2) I don't know if it has always been like that (and probably it WAS, due to Special FX technical limitations of the era the film was made), but at 00:56:18:23 and 00:56:58:18 (Luke's saber going off and on) it felt to me like there was a jump cut /missing frame;

3) I've noticed some compression artifacts near C3PO's arms (00:40:41:22) and head (00:40:54:10) - I think they're called 'mosquito noise'?

Hammy, I know it's been said 1000 times already, but your work is simply put FANTASTIC.  Thank you!!!!
